Vehicle Detail
Restored Tempest GTO clone with hood tach, rear deck spoiler could easily be badged to make Judge clone. Has power seats installed aftermarket and original front seats are included in sale if buyer cares to retrofit. Engine is non-matching #s Pontiac 455 CID bored 0.030" over with new forged pistons, rods and bushings, mild street cam with 0.50" lift, hydraulic lifters, pushrods, valvetrain all new in 2004 rebuild. Original crankshaft was polished and met specs for refit. Block was Magnafluxed and has no cracks; its a solid motor with no issues. Timing chain replaced with gears will not slip! This is a Monster engine with enormous torque- over 500 ft-lbs hooked up to an M21 Muncie trans with HD clutch all solid, strong and tight; will give you no trouble. The car was originally a 3-speed, so no body was cut or altered to install M21 & clutch. It has HEI with MSD ignition and starts/runs like it should. Hedman Headers wrapped with glass and of course dual Flowmasters with exhaust cutouts so you can run open headers for the Hell of it. Professionally restored body work done in 2005 with glossy metalflake burgundy triple coat was stripped to bare metal and done right; clear coated and will endure for years. There is no rust anywhere on this car. Motor paint is correct GM metallic blue and looks superb. Intake is stock GM with Holley 4-bbl. Original AM radio with retro FM converter also picked up TV signals channels 2-13 until the Government saw fit to eliminate free TV. Original carpet is in good shape. Dash pad fitted with restoration is snug without warping and looks great. Wheels are correct GM style with paint detail to match finish which is not correct for original but looks fantastic. PMD hubs are new and clean with no cracks and no junk anywhere on this beautiful restoration. I have beauty rings for it, included in sale (not mounted). Back seat is the original, also in retro hippie style and gold matte finish. Drive this car into a time warp it's 1970 again and you're only 18 years old when you slide behind the original PMD steering wheel. There's an air horn in addition to the GM horns which lets people know this is a Real Mean Street Machine and it shows. Car is for sale locally and can be viewed in Southern Maryland. Email seller for contact info and to view the Goat. Selling it because I need the cash and garage space. My loss is your gain. Buyer will not be disappointed. Seller reserves right to end auction at any time for local sale.
