I have a 1958 Ford Ranch Wagon that was headed to the crusher 4 months ago. I've decided its a little more of a project than I want to get into. I'm mostly a Pontiac guy, but could not let this go for salvage. The GOOD stuff : Its pretty straight for a 53yr old car. Most everything is there, I believe the original 352 v8 3spd with overdrive is there along with the rest of drive train all original. 90% of the original interior is there with no modifications. The spare tire well is not rusted. The tail gate and rear window open and close properly. The rear window glass is good. The driver side slider glass is good. The hood and grill are in good shape. Most of the chrome and trim pieces are there and in fair to good shape. The BAD stuff : The front fender eye browse are rusted through. The floor under front seat is mostly gone, with places that will need patched or replaced from there back. One rocker panel may need replaced due to a fork lift oops. The windshield is cracked and will need replaced along with driver / pass door, pass side slider glass. The radiator and front pulleys from engine are gone.
