(SORRY ABOUT THE PREVIOUS LISTING BEING CANCELLED BY EBAY. I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT YOU CAN'T SAY 'FORD OR CHEVY' IN THE LISTING TITLE!) AMAZING 1937 NASH LAFAYETTE CUSTOM!! This Gorgeous RestoRod was Featured in Rod & Custom Magazine! Now is your chance to a custom RestoRod unlike all of your friends! Forget about Fords and Chevys.....this one has all the looks AND rarity! Why be like all the rest?! Featured in Rod and Custom Magazine in 2007.....click here for a link to that article: http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/featuredvehicles/0703rc_nash_lafayette/index.html Let's take a look at some of the details...... Beautiful soft cream yellow paint draws all the attention at the shows Chrysler style wires from Wheel Vintiques wrapped by radial Wide White Wall tires Gorgeous RON MANGUS interior done in tan leather & mohair. Power front seat & HUGE back seat give room for six Custom carpets and embroidered floormats. And the trunk is also done in matching upholstery Original dash and gauges expertly restored and modified to monitor engine statistics Bronze tinted windows all around. All windows work well and seal nicely Tan leather Banjo wheel sits atop a TILT steering column Cold AIR CONDITIONING keeps the cabin comfy Operational CRUISE CONTROL too AM/FM/CD sounds great And now a bit about the drivetrain*...... Crate 350 motor has less than 3,000 miles on it - it runs great Polished Edelbrock manifold plus plenty of other chrome 350 Turbo automatic transmission for easy cruising Mustang II front end with power disc brakes Lincoln rear end with 3:00/1 gears Power rack & pinion steering Frame painted black * I am duplicating the information I was provided when I bought the car and from the prior owner (a real nice guy!). I am not a mechanical expert, so I can't guarantee the accuracy of the info, but I have no reason to doubt it. This Nash is an amazing blend of class and comfort. It floats down the road, and has plenty of power to get out of it's own way. It is a consistent trophy winner at nearly every show entered, and has won MANY Best of Shows since built. It is NOT a trailer queen, and has not had six figures of craziness invested in it.........but it is not priced like that either. It has a few imperfections here and there because it is driven. The doors could be adjusted for a bit better fit and the running boards have some unevenness under the rubber if you want to get picky. Also, I notice a little bit of speedometer cable noise the other day when taking it out for a cruise. But what a cruise it was......this car is so much fun, especially when folks start arguing over what it is. "It's a Buick. No, it's not, it's a Pontiac...... No, it's a LaSalle!" (the 'L' emblem throws them off too) I've owned the car since last Summer and really do love it, but I am thinning my collection of 14 down to maybe 7! Life is too busy with 3 kids and a 60 hour/week career. I believe the car is worth 40K - 50K, but my reserve is well under 40K! It is time I face my addiction of cars, and I am going to let someone else enjoy this and some of my other beauties. She is titled in my name, with a clear California title, and you can get in and drive her home whereever you are. Why buy a Ford.....or a Chevy and get lost in the crowd. Do you think a Ford or Chevy of this era will get the attention of this unique and rare orphan?! NO WAY!! If you would like additional photos, please ask. Anything specific - simply email your request! If you would like to come see and drive the car, even better! I am located in Paso Robles, CA - which is located exactly between San Francisco and Los Angeles on CA HWY 101. Very easy access via drive, or you can fly in to nearby San Luis Obispo Airport. Also, I am selling a few other quality hot rods and resto-mods from my collection this Summer as well, including a ’23 Ford 3-Door Touring (fuel injected Resto-Rod), a '63 Corvette split-window coupe (LS-1, C-4 suspension, A/C, but stock look), a '50 Studebaker Bullet-Nose Convertible (SuperRod Mag Feature, ZZ4, AirRide, etc), and a '57 Chevy convertible (RamJet FI 350, AOD, full power, upgraded suspension)...... just to name a few. My name is Scott. Please email me at hotrodranch@live.com with questions and requests for more details/pics. If you'd like to talk by phone, please email me your phone # and specific questions and I'll give you a call back in short order. I would post my phone number here, but I seem to get calls from a bunch of dealers and print advertisers. Alternatively, you can email me a request for my # and I’ll email it back to you. Thanks for visiting and please watch for my other car auctions too! On Jul-05-11 at 20:02:30 PDT, seller added the following information: If my reserve is met, I will end the auction for the high bidder and accept a $1,000 PayPal deposit instead of a $2,000 PayPal deposit.
