1997 Dodge Heavy Duty Ram 3500 SLT Laramie 4x4 5.9L Cummins Diesel 12 Valve extended cab, DRW, 5 spd manual. It has 121,750 miles. It is silver with gray cloth interior. 2 owners, local Arizona truck. No rust. It has the famous 5.9L Cummins 12 Valve motor which has recently been completely overhauled. It has all the standard SLT Laramie features including power driver seat, power mirrors, factory cassette player, 5 speed manual transmission, shift on the floor 4x4, 4.10 limited slip differential, cab steps, trailer tow package, and much more. It also has some aftermarket accessories including a spray-in liner, electric brake, Banks exhaust brake system, exhaust temperature gauge, boost gauge, and gooseneck hitch. The wheels and 215/85/r16 BFGoodrich Commercial AT “E” rated tires are in good condition with reasonable tread remaining (please see pictures) All the power windows, door locks, etc work great. A/C and heater work great. No smoke odor! Non-smoker! The gray cloth interior of the truck is in great condition with no stains. The dash is also in very nice condition with no cracks. Please note, the headliner is starting to deteriorate closest to the windshield. Please see picture. Cosmetically, the truck has normal wear and tear for the year including several small dents with the largest being over the drivers side wheel well. The truck has excessive fading and oxidation on the hood, front quarter panels, and rear wheel wells. The clear coat is very noticeably damaged in these areas. Despite these flaws, it is a relatively straight truck. Mechanically, this truck runs and drives excellent. It fires right up in the morning! The manual transmission shifts perfect, the engine runs very strong, and the suspension is solid. In the last 3 years, over $15000 has been spent on this truck for numerous upgrades, modifications, and maintenance. These include: (1) Installation of the Ram Power Pack System; (2) Front Suspension Overhaul; (3) Engine Overhaul -due to dowel pin failure (please see attached explanation with receipt). This truck is an absolute dream to drive. Please review all the pictures of receipts near the end of the listing. The only issues that I have observed with the truck are as follows: The cruise control does not work (light comes on but cruise does not engage). Secondly, the fuel gauge reads ¾ tank when the truck is full of fuel (it functions properly otherwise). It is a 1997 truck so one of the very last true heavy duty Dodges with the 5.9L 12-valve diesel, before they got all the emissions stuff the new ones have.
