Vehicle Detail

1973 Vega GT Hatchback No engine transmission or cooling system Would consider trade up for rat rod/ hot rod from 30's or Pontiac from the 60's make me an offer if we agree I will list as buy it now Car is in my name and is registered as non/op-ed in Ca. Pink slip in hand Car looks shiny but will need a body work / paint job minor rusting on body and some in battery tray (very common) a few dents, the worst being the tail section but very repairable I will include a nice second rear bumper The interior is white and black and in pretty good condition for the year, but should be redone. has an am/fm radio but condition unknown. Orig 4 speed shifter still bolted to floor All 4 cyl engine parts have been removed as was the transmission. 4 cyl. motor frame mounts have been removed and V8 Monza motor mounts have been added. Car has Cowl induction type fiberglass hood. with stock Vega hinges The car has rust as they all do but it is confined mostly to the front fenders and the battery area. I have another set of very clean fenders (shown in last photo) and I cut the right corner out and battery mount of another Vega that is not rusted out to weld into my Vega (not shown). Both doors swing and shut nicely, hatch operates properly Included is a new set of door seals Also not pictured but included is a vintage Vega rear 1 piece spoiler and nice chrome drivers side mirror there is rusting in spare tire well but is only surface rust and will clean up nicely. small area of rust on lower windshield corner but under trim, there is some bubbling on the dash at that point very small area. The under hood wire harness is 90% intact but a few wires were cut and will need repair New heater core and I have the blower and cover Front windshield is cracked but I have a VERY nice replacement for it. Car is complete as it sits except for radiator engine transmission and exhaust The stock Vega rear end was removed and a low mileage 2002 S10 5 lug Xtreme Posi / disc brake 3:42 rear end installed in its place. Custom lower arms have also been added in the rear. (no brake lines have been reconnected yet.) also the rear springs have been updated to 1991 Z28 variable rate springs and new shocks. The car is a GT so it has front and rear sway bars (Total cost of rear end upgrade $1700) In the front I have added 1988 S10 5 lug spindle assemblies with new upper and lower ball joints, new shocks, tie rod ends, new calipers, sway bar links, brake pads and 1982 Nova brake lines. Plus all front bushings have been replaced. I also have a master cylinder (for an all wheel disc brake) from a mid sixties Corvette to swap in place of the Vega master Both lower a arms have been changed to 1976 Monza a arms w/deep pockets and new Monza V8 springs. The upper arms have been converted to custom tube fully adjustable a arms (Total cost for parts for front end upgrade $750) Car is a great start to a nice street ride
