Vehicle Detail
Very rare and collectible Jaguar XJ12C This is a 2-door coupe version of the XJ sedan. They were built for only a few years as both 6 & 12 Cylinder models, only 1800 were built with the 12 for the entire world market. Guess say that less than 200-300 remain worldwide. The V-12's have bigger brakes and an limited slip rear diff to my knowledge. That makes this one of the rearest jags out there as to production numbers. I have had this car in storage for about 5-6 years. It is exactly how I bought years ago. I had planned to put a Viper V-10 and T56 6-speed manual in it, but do to now 6 spine surguries and losing my storage the writing is on the wall that I'll never finish this project. NOTHING has been cut or hacked on the car. The only thing that is not original is the updated series 3 XJ wheels, I also have a set of series # tail lights and a grille that go with the car. I do NOT have the series 2 wheels, but do still have the original tail lights. car has the very expensive NARDI signature steering wheel with jaguar "growler" on horn button. The under carriage is completely rust free, the body is very striaght and will need very minor work other than normal paint prep. If you are NOT familiar with old british paint, it tends to "crack" or "check" when it gets over 20years old. This car is no different. Body has no rust. Vinyl top needs to be replaced, most people take them off to paint the car anyway. The power windows and brakes work as I have rolled the car around and stored it inside and covered with the windows down during the very hot summers where I live (southern california). Car has a clean Texas Title, as I never finished the project, i never titled it ;-). I have a blank manufactures plate that can be used to register it as a 1975 in california if you're concerned about smog. Bid to own, I need it out of storage by end of July, so no big rush. Bidders with less than 10 feedback need to send me your contact info (name/e-mail/phone) BEFORE you bid or I will delete your bids. Sorry but somehow eBay has a way of letting non-rregistered bidders get into the system and screw everything up for the rest of us. Shipping is one you, but I can deliver for $1 a mile in the lower 48 (paid in advance of course). ask questions, but don't ask about my reserve as I will not give it out. bid to win, price is VERY FAIR for such a rare car.
