Vehicle Detail
Here Is a very nice original 1963 Ford Country Squire 6 passenger wagon. This car is in very nice restorable condition with an original rust free body with original beige paint. This is an original California black plate car which has been in dry storage for the past 25 years. Original 352 motor with automatic transmission. The motor did run but the transmission does not work as reverse gear band is broken. Car was put into storage after the transmission issue and only recently taken out. Nothing has been done to it and I would suggest a complete rebuild of all mechanical components. Again I stress this car is rust free as I have checked all floor pans, frame etc. and there is only minimal surface rust here and there. The faux wood trim on the car is in excellent condition and all of the stainless trim buttons are on it and in excellent condition -these are usually the toughest to find or replace when needed in a restoration. The glass and aluminum/chrome trim is all in very nice original and restorable condition as well. The interior shows considerable wear but is complete and the car even has the factory air conditioner unit under the dash -there is no compressor as I did not get it when I got the car. Some of the headliner is missing as well. Car has power steering and had power brakes but the original owner had the power booster taken off and replaced with manual brakes. This car would make an excellent resto candidate as it is mostly unmolested, rust free, and in complete original condition. Im not sure of the actual mileage of the car as I imagine it is over 100K. Cool vintage torq thrust wheels are on it and I have the original wheels and hubcaps that originally came on the car as well. These are very hard to find and becoming rare. I have a very low reserve. Ask any and all questions before auction ends. Buyer responsible for pickup of car or all shipping arrangements. I am willing to help however I can -however car needs to be picked up within 30 days of auction end. Again this car is not currently drivable and is being sold AS-IS where is. Bank wire transfer or bank check only for transaction and car will not be released until all funds have cleared. Serious bidders only please! Bidding is a contract and will be enforced. Good luck!On Jun-27-11 at 06:21:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a note on body condition -there is one area of rust on the tailgate under the Country Squire emblem that is visible in the pictures. This is the only notable rust area on the car other than minor surface rust that I can see. I have been told that the tailgates were the area most prone to rust on these wagons. There is also an area on the right front fender where there was a minor dent that was straightened but not finished and has surface rust on it -visible in the pictures. Please ask any other questions or details I might have overlooked that I can answer for you.
