1957 Chevy pickup other 3100 All steel truck with minimal bodywork. This truck was a frame off restoration and prior to restoration truck had very minimal damage (two small rust spots about the size of a nickel were repaired in cab corners), the rest of the truck is rust free. Truck has been in Central New Mexico since 1957, in dry climate. Truck has been sub-framed (Chevy 5 on 5 bolt pattern) and has independent suspension, disc brakes, power brakes, front sway bar, and power steering. Wheels are American Eagle billet wheels (15 X 8) with BFG Radial TA (245-60R 15). Engine Compartment: Entire engine compartment has been painted exterior color (firewall, inner fenders, underside of hood, radiator core support). Has a new US Radiator 4 Core Desert Cooler radiator with electronic fan and control unit. Paint quality is great, as painting was done when truck was disassembled and then cleanly assembled, no chips or scratches. Motor and Drive train: Chevy 350 with 781 miles on it (Edelbrock 650 electronic choke carburetor, and mild torque cam, 10.5 to 1 compression), TH350 automatic transmission, and GM 12 Bolt rear axle with drum brakes. Motor has Edelbrock finned aluminum classic valve covers and air cleaner. Transmission has aluminum transmission pan. Motor and Trans both have Lokar dipsticks. Motor has headers (3 inch collectors) and 2 ½ inch aluminized dual exhaust (turbo mufflers) and 18 inch stainless slash cut exhaust tips. Paint : Paint is Du Pont base coat clear coat in Sperry Green (more or less turquoise with a pop to it). Truck was painted while disassembled, so paint is very clean. Assembly was a painstaking process and there are no chips or scratches from assembly. All panels have excellent alignment and gaps are all equal. Doors hinges were rebuilt and doors close like new. Paint quality is excellent, very glassy, with no scratches. New front chrome bumper has been installed. The grill has not been installed as I cannot find a reputable chrome shop locally or in entire state of New Mexico. I have the grill disassembled (excellent condition, not bent, no dents or dings), but simply prefer quality work that I can physically see before accepting. The grill will come with the truck as well as large envelope of receipts from build. Body Modifications: Gas tank has been relocated to under bed of truck, and filler hole in cab has been smoothed. Bed of truck has had stake pockets filled for smooth bedrails. A smooth role pan was also installed as well as furniture grade oak with gloss clear coat and stainless steel polished bed strips. Very clean and smooth mild modifications. Interior of Cab: Truck has Tilt Steering, Aluminum gauge panel with Auto Meter (classic gauges), new 16 circuit EZ Wire compete truck wire harness installed, dash has been filled smooth and opening for radio has been enlarged for standard size modern radio. It has a pioneer CD flip down face stereo with two 6X9 speakers. Interior is medium grey tweed seats, headliner, and kick panels. Interior has been fully painted and paint quality is excellent just as good as exterior. Everything on this truck works and every wire on entire truck is new. Exterior of Cab: New windshield and gasket were installed, side glass is also new tinted glass (15%) not film tinted. All new felts and glass channels were installed as well as door weather stripping. This truck is in excellent condition, and would make an excellent show and driver. Great truck for someone who wants a nice clean classic truck in excellent condition.
