The wagon is in excellent mechanical shape with many upgrades I would not hesitate to drive from the east coast to the west coast and return. I just finished a 13 hour drive from Ga to MD and returned with NO PROBLEMS The wagon currently gets 29.9 MPG @ 85MPH loaded down four passengers with all luggage. This is real MPG not some hype Again it gets 29.9 MPG Hwy with a load Over the past 2 years I have done the following: The Good: Great looking body and paint Tinted windows to keep out heat Alpine am/fm/cd/sat/ ipod/iphone Front JL Speakers New full size spare Mercedes first aid kit in rear Filters changed often Front end alignment New water pump New Timing chain New Belts New hoses New heater core Convert AC to R134a the proper way not just changing freon Oil changes every 2500 miles Full transmission service Both Rear axles and Cvs with full Diff services Front suspension components replacement Shifter Console selector FULL HID headlights with Daytime HALO Blue rings and running lights New Interstate Battery with proper Diesel cold starting amps New Bosch Starter Injector rebuilds New injection lines Injection pump rebuild with new seals Valve Adjustments Every 6 months Diesel Purge Exhaust pipe and Hangers Wastegate plumbing and adjustment Brakes Front and rear The needs Work Sunroof needs new seal I currently have it sealed so it does not leak Headliner needs to be properly installed I removed it to get to the sunroof and have installed it waiting to replace the sunroof seal The rear doors need new rubber seals, I have installed matching white seals until I replaced the original seals so it does not leak Needs plastic trim around the right rear door electric lock switch Sorry but I lost it Needs Blue material covering the passenger seatbelt post as with almost all 300 wagons it came off The wagon is in excellent mechanical shape with so many upgrades and replacements but needs the finishing touches to complete it. The wagon is very reliable and very daily driveable I would not be selling this as it is my personal wagon but because of personal reason I must.
