Vehicle Detail

I am the third owner - it was purchased here in San Jose, CA at Capitol Chevrolet in 1989 - I still have the window sticker and the manuals. It's fully loaded with the Silverado package: 3/4 ton, four wheel drive, rear AC, overhead console, power windows, brakes, door locks, etc. I have the pink slip in hand and it's registered until October of this year. The odometer shows almost 97000 but it has turned over so the BODY has almost 200,000 on it. (New crate motor/rebuilt transmission) MOTOR: 5.7 Liter/350Ci (Second or third year of the throttle body injection) I purchased the truck when the brand new crate motor only had 6500 miles on it (I have the receipt) The motor currently has 25,000 on it and when the motor hit 7000 miles I switched to full synthetic motor oil which it's been ran on ever since, changing the oil every 5000 miles - I also only use 91 octane with 100 octane fill-ups a couple times a year, seriously. This motor runs absolutely perfect. I am continually impressed every time I drive it and I'm not just saying that because this is an ad.It starts right up, idles perfect, and sounds great when you go wide open.It has no cooling problems - never goes above 210 degrees - usually sits at 180 as the owner before me replaced the radiator. The motor is stock with the exception of Edelbrock headers with a flow through muffler, a K&N air filter, upgraded distributor and plug wires. I'VE REPLACED THE FOLLOWING IN THE LAST 1500 MILES: Brake pads, oil cooler, Optima yellow top battery, fuel filter, alternator, computer (ECU), spark plugs, plug wires, and ignition module. I also just overhauled the throttle body with all new sensors - new IAC valve, MAF sensor, and TPS. TRANSMISSION/DRIVETRAIN: I had the transmission rebuilt less than 15,000 miles ago including a new torque converter (Also have the receipt) It's a 3-speed TH400 The axle is a stock 14 bolt with 4.10 gears. The 4WD in this thing is insane - I've put this vehicle to the test and it has impressed me and anyone in it. It's been to Pismo beach, Hollister hills, random trails in the Santa Cruz mountains, etc. If you put it in Four Wheel - Low, it could honestly pull a house down. INTERIOR: Interior shows it's age but still looks great for twenty two years old. There are a few stains on the carpet, headliner sags, and the AC needs to be charged. It has Hertz 6X9's in the rear passenger area + stock speakers under the dashboard that sound fine.It currently does not have a deck installed as I took it out to put in my new car. I will include an uninstalled Sony deck with a CD player (52X4 Watts) I recently put a GT Grant aftermarket steering wheel on it. (Still have the old steering wheel if it's wanted) It has a mechanical oil pressure gauge which is much more accurate than stock. Oil pressure, once warmed up, sits at a perfect 50 pounds - another credit to the health of the motor. EXTERIOR: The paint is stock and looks pretty good as I just had a buddy of mine buff the whole truck. The hood shows it's age as the clear coat has mostly pealed off. There is light body damage to the passenger side quarter panel, right behind the rear tire, part of the rear bumper, and the tailgate has a dent in it. I have any receipt from almost anything I did to it. I also have receipts from the previous owner. This vehicle is not your typical pain in the ass old truck. I bought it in September of 2009 and almost all the money I've put in it were for upgrades or regular maintenance. I've taken this truck on a lot of high mileage trips and, other than paying for gas, it's completely worry free. It runs like new... probably better than new.Whenever I see another Suburban of the same body style (1973 - 1991) they are rarely in this good of condition - especially for this low of a price. I can be reached through my email address. If you want to talk over the phone, which I would prefer, just shoot me an email with your number and I'll give you a call. Thanks in advance - Jason (I've got a couple more pictures available but I can also take any picture you request)
