This vehicle is my personal car and I hate to part with it, but I just found a great deal on a new project and the wife wont let me keep them all so my Town Car, unfortunately has to go to make more room. The car has been an absolutely joy since I have bought it. The stately appearance of the 95-97 Town Cars is something that is not replicated on any other car today. I was fortunate enough to acquire the car from a local Lincoln-Mercury dealer that is very reputable. I am actually the second owner of the car with the first owner putting on a mere 61,000 miles in 14 years. Anything that has needed attention since I have owned this car has faithfully gotten it and 95% of the time it was with Motorcraft parts. I guarantee this car will not disappoint. The 4.6L V8 in this car is nearly bullet-proof and it is not uncommon for these engine and transmissions to top 300,000+ miles with minimal maintenance. You pretty much keep the oil changed and it will give you years of faithful service and this one is no exception. The 4.6L engine that is standard in the Town Car and numerous other Ford products has many years of proven reliability, reasonable gas mileage and low maintenance costs. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO FLUID LEAKS PRESENT AND NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. It appears that the previous owners (they were locals) took very good care of the car as the beautiful paint shows it. There have been no accidents or body work of any kind done and I’m confident the dealership would have just sent it to auction had that been the case. I have no complaints of the car to date as it has been extremely dependable and comfortable. I should also mention that my attitude with cars approaches being anal—I’m an accountant, it’s my nature. I hand wash and fully detail the exterior and interior once a week at minimum (the automatic washes are too rough). It is waxed every 2-3 months. The interior has always been kept extremely clean and has been properly detailed personally and regularly. The engine runs smoothly and has absolutely no mechanical problems coupled with a genuine Ford electronically-controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive (4R70W). The car is also equipped with rear wheel drive, fully automatic traction control and factory dual exhaust and ABS. Both engine and transmission are bone stock with no performance problems or modifications of any kind. This car has never failed to start at any time or left me stranded. I get a respectable 27 m.p.g. on the highway and about 16-17 m.pg. in town if driven easily. That’s the type of mileage you would expect from a V6! Most people don’t know this little secret about these cars. Regular maintenance has been performed religiously at my local Ford dealership or by me – NEVER at a quickie-lube. Recent service includes new spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, serpentine belt and idler/tensioner pulleys, oil changes/lube jobs, all 4 shocks, front lower ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar links and bushings. The air springs have been replaced with genuine Lincoln air springs and the system works flawlessly. ALL of the fluids have been replaced including transmission, rear differential, brake fluid, power steering fluid, engine oil, etc. I’ve went as far as replacing the wiper blades and replacing the exterior entry keypad only because I wanted it to look like new! Most of the stuff I replaced wasn’t even faulty, I am just anal. All service records since the time I purchased the vehicle as well as the original owner’s manual and all other related paperwork for the vehicle will be available to the purchaser. There are also four sets of the proper factory keys and two updated keyless entry key fobs available that are both programmed to the vehicle and functional. This car also includes the exterior keyless entry keypad mounted on the door, which is a very handy feature. I have a full listing of the vehicle options upon request. It is loaded, just like the title says, with every single factory option available in 1996 with the exception of the sunroof and heated seats being absent. A few of the best options are power, leather, memory seats, fully automatic electronic climate control, full digital dash with driver info center and compass, touring package with 16” factory aluminum wheels, factory dual exhaust, automatic lighting package, air suspension, driver selectable steering assist, premium factory 9-speaker JBL sound system with subwoofer, cavernous trunk and full size spare tire with matching factory rim. As for the exterior condition, it can be regarded as well above average for the mileage. I’m not sure whether it was garaged previously (it has always been garaged since I have had it and not driven in winter months and seldom in the rain) but it does appear it was kept clean and buffed so the paint is very clean and deep for the mileage and year. Keep in mind that this is a 1996 and it is used, and although it is in well above average condition, there are light scratches here and there, but there aren’t many. There’s one small dent on the roof and three very small paint blemishes which have been touched up that I have photographed – everything else is perfect. Even though these are minor imperfections, I wanted to make sure that it was noted because I want to represent this car as honestly as possible. I replaced the tires less than 5,000 miles ago with a matching set of Michelin Symmetrys. The factory 16” spoke aluminum rims have NO corrosion on them whatsoever. The brakes, front and rear, are in decent condition with no problems – I replaced the front pads and rotors within the past 10,000 miles. All of the glass is in good shape with no cracks or chips. I had the windows professionally tinted for privacy as well as to protect the interior (lifetime warranty). The interior can be regarded as well above average nearing perfect as well. The only things that look less than new is the driver’s seat leather is showing very little wear consistent with mileage, the door lock button on the driver door has some wear to the printing and one of the rear floor mats has a few very small spots on it. Other than that, the interior is like new. I have kept deep tread floor mats covering the original carpeted floor mats in order to protect them. The dash, headliner and door panels are in excellent condition. The rear ash tray doors are not broken like 90% of the 95-97 Town Cars out there. I am a non-smoker and it appears that the previous owners were as well as evidenced by the spotless lighter and absence of smoke smell, burns or stains of any kind. The carpets have been shampooed and vacuumed regularly and all of the interior trim has been conditioned regularly as well. I have kept the seats well conditioned and clean with Tannery brand leather products. The seats are very soft and supple with NO cracks, rips, scuffs or separation. All of the electrical options work as they should. The electronic digital climate control is functional with HOT HEAT and ICE COLD A/C and also has redundant steering wheel controls! The original JBL amplified sound system is one of the best out there from the factory and it sounds fantastic! The original radio with cassette coupled with a trunk-mounted 10-disc CD changer controlled by steering wheel controls works flawlessly. There are many pictures below that you can look at to verify my testimony. This is my own car and I am attempting to represent it as fully and accurately as possible. Car is sold AS-IS, WHERE IS.
