Vehicle Detail
This is a re-listing of my 1969 Triumph Bonneville. I had to pull from bidding because of a bend right intake push rod. I replaced all push rods, head gasket and rocker cover gaskets. The cylinder and piston look great, compression test at 132 psi on each cylinder. I am putting it up for sale with no-reserve and at a starting point were the auction was stopped on June 3rd. I purchased this bike in 2001 and did a garage restore, completely disassembled the bike and then put it back together. The purpose of the restore was to make it into a respectable riding bike not to win concourse trophies. This is a nice looking, classic bike which starts on first or second kick, doesn’t leak oil excessively and runs and sounds great. Has matching numbers on frame and engine. I have a clean Wisconsin Title dated 2001. During my garage restore I did or had done the following: Frame and other components were stripped and professionally powder-coatedNew Amal Carbs New Tires New Seat Cover (pan was in good shape) New cloth wiring harness New gaiters NOS center stand New front tubes and seals New rings New Valves, valve guides and springs New exhaust system Installed electronic voltage regulator (kept zener on bike but disconnected). I did not repaint the bike – and may be original. It has signs of age, but is in remarkable shape for its age. The pictures will show the spider web cracking by the filler opening and some scratches on the top. I did put on decals (not too skillfully). The gas tank is clean with no rust. The rims and spokes show signs of age but are not rusty. Some surface rust has formed on some nuts/bolts during the last 10 years of storage. Overall this is a really nice bike that looks and sounds great! On Jun-03-11 at 16:53:46 PDT, seller added the following information: 6.03.2011 I was enjoying a last ride on the bike and it lost power in the right cylinder. I can't sell until this is corrected. Thanks for your interest and sorry for the inconvenience.
