1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler EXCELLENT CONDITION !! HAS TO GO !! VERY MODEST RESERVE VEHICLE HISTORY I have owned this Jeep for about 6 years. In this 6 years I have put about 75 miles per year. Mostly I just clean and polish this machine and take into a few parades. As my daughter now approaches driving age, I need to think in a new direction as far as vehicles. I have really never taken it off road except to run around my hay field a few times. I purchased this CJ-8 from my neigbor who has more dollars than sense. I am sure he put north of $28,000 in this machine. All work was done by professionals and was the best money could buy, as this was his baby. Later, the man went through a nasty divorce and needed to sell some vehicles, so I got the best price that was fair and it was mine. Both him and I are close to 50 years old and mostly clean and polish. Edlebrock intake, forged pistons, Aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, stainless steel headers, \custom dual exhaust, Moble 1 synthetic oil only after break in. This engine is stroked to a 383 for more torque and has the 2.02 heads. < One Ton ford tranny, Custom HD propeller shaft, solid axles, 413 (or equivilant AMC axle ration) , Sky jacker soft ride with nitro shocks, 6 inches of total lift, stainless brake lines, Moroso valve covers and air cleaner, warn lockouts, new gas tank hoses, detroit locker, American racing rims, Buckshot Radial mudder tires LT315/85r15, spare tire of same size on black spoke rim, AM/FM Alpine stereo with cd player and rear speakers, Dual battery tray, wired for winch front and rear, many misc air cleaners, snaps, various odds and ends. < Soft Top, OEM Hard top, with orginal full hard doors with crank windows, OEM back pan for hard top install, 2 sets of full soft doors, 1 set of half soft doors with no upper window. Soft top rolls up on sides for the Safari look. Cotton cover for CJ-8 This is a well cared for Jeep that has not been run hard and has always been garage kept. When I bought from my neighbor this engine had about 3,000 miles on it. I put another 500 miles on it. It starts great, runs great and looks great. Who ever buys this Jeep will be very happy.
