For auction is a 1972 Willow Green Karmann Ghia. It has original Willow Green paint. Willow Green was only available in 1971 and 1972. It has an automatic stick shift that works as it should. The Ghia has 29,929 original miles with the 1600 dual port engine. The only thing not original is the EMPI 34 P-3 carburetor. I have the original Solex 34 Pict-3 carburetor and it will go with the Ghia. I also have new rubber for the trunk lid, a plastic glove box, and a Bentley Service Manual that I will include with the car. Everything electrical works except for the clock. I haven't had time to troubleshoot it. It has the stock Sapphire XV AM radio. The interior is in great condition. The last picture shows a little rust on the back left quarter panel caused by a battery leak. It was this way when I bought the Ghia. There is no title. Alabama does not title tile cars prior to 1975. The Ghia drives straight and runs down the highway at 70 mph without any problems. My wife and I drove the Ghia to a Cruise-In a couple of weeks ago and as soon as I parked several people came around and wanted to what I was driving. The reason I am selling the Ghia is I have fallen for a Nissan Cube and need the cash to buy it. This really is a wonderful Karmann Ghia and would be an easy restoration project or drive it just like it is.
