Up for auction is my 1972 Honda XL-250 Motosport. Nice original condition 1st year model. Well presevered, starts and runs like new. Has normal wear and tear for 3661 miles. All original except handle bars and grips. No dents or breaks in tank or fenders. Has small tear on lower right side of seat as you can see in picture. Includes original factory bars that where replaced because they are bent and owners manual (missing cover page). It appears to be missing skid plate. Tires I believe to be original. I purchased approximately one year ago and made the following repairs at that time: New MSR Handlebars New Levers New OEM Lever covers New OEM Petcock seals, gaskets, screen and bowl New OEM Fuel cap gasket New OEM Air filter New OEM Rubber seats and mounting bushings for tack and speedo New OEM Carb. Gasket set New NGK Plug New OEM Exhaust gasket Ex. Pipe bead blasted and painted with PJ-1 Ex. Paint (Heat shield is original paint) Points and timing adjusted. Valves adjusted. Oil changed (Amsoil 10w-40 MC oil) Fill free to ask questions. You’re welcome to come see it. On Jun-12-11 at 16:18:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot when writing original description that the horn does not work and battery does not hold a charge. Battery aids in keeping lights bright at idle. The Motosport was designed to easily remove battery and lights for off-road use. It does not require a charged battery to run or for the lights to work. All lights and instruments do work. I added some closeup pictures to better show the condition of paint and decals.
