Vehicle Detail
Just picked up a brand new travel trailer and the wife says one of my toys has to go, so this is it. I've owned this vehicle since 2003 and it was a daily driver until about a year ago then exercised regularly until a house fire forced me to put it in storage for the last 5 months. With the caveat that it's been sitting for 5 months, I believe it to be mechanically sound, though it does need some work on a few issues: * 3 of the 4 window regulators need to be replaced. (Driver's side front + back, passenger side back) * The automatic rear sunshade needs a gear replaced. It works but makes an awful racket going up. * The windshield is cracked * One of the foglamps is cracked and should probably be replaced * The rear bumper is cracked where one of the rear parking sensors is. The sensor still works, but the bumper cover needs to be replaced. * When I moved it to storage the computer indicated an O2 sensor needed to be replaced. That error didn't come up today, but in the interest of full disclosure... * Stopping out to take pictures today I noticed the battery is dead. Hooking up some jumper cables got the vehicle power to come on but not enough juice to fire it up. The car was perfectly drivable the day it was parked, but plan on towing it. * The small tool kit in the trunk no longer closes properly. * Leather is pretty good shape for a 16 year old car. Front seats are starting to crack a little bit, but a little elbow grease and some leather conditioner should bring them back to life nicely. * It is in desperate need of a good detailing. * This is by no means meant to be a comprehensive list, the car is as-is, where-is, but I want to be upfront about what I know is wrong with it. So with all the bad out of the way I can say the car is a blast to drive and, despite being 16 years old still looks good and was technologically advanced enough in 1995 that it doesn't feel too dated on the interior to this day. A quick rundown on features: AM/FM Casette with equalizer, factory 6-CD changer in the trunk 12-way power driver and passenger seats 4 memory settings for driver's seat Heated seats front and back Reclining rear seats Dual zone automatic climate control V12, real wheel drive with ABS and stability control Sunroof, works fine, no leaks Factory "Zach Morris" car phone. Works! You could get service for it, but I can't imagine why you'd want to. Here's your chance to own a $95,000 V12 luxury sedan for, literally, pennies on the dollar.
