Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE!!! MUST SELL!! Finances force the sale of my beloved 2005 BMW F650-CS. This bike is AWESOME!! This is the most fun bike I have ever owned. It is a street incarnation of the venerable F-series bikes. At under 400 pounds dry this very torquey bike is made for whipping through the turns. The gas tank is located beneath the seat for lower center-of-gravity. Also the oil reserves (tank) are within the frame itself also reducing weight and lowering the c.g. This bike has 5990 orginal miles, but will probably have a few more by the time of the sale. This has Brembo anti-lock brakes (ABS) that work so well I've kind of come to rely on them a little too much for super-quick stops. This also has heated grips...life-savers. While the geometry is f-series, this is most definitely not the same old chain-drive tubular chassis. This has the single-sided rear swing-arm and belt drive. The belt should last to 100k. This has the tried and true 650 single with twin spark-plugs. This bike gets 70+ miles per gallon even in 'fun mode' accelerating a little too fast. This bike comes with Garmin Zumo GPS specifically designed for motorcycle (waterproof, locks to mount, etc). The GPS is hard-wired and installed solidly with a nice Ram mount. This has the factory 'stuff-bay' lock-box with the built-in speakers. You can set the speakers to get louder as you go faster. I've lost the key for the box. It also has the Wunderlich locking bay cover which is what I keep on it 99% of the time. The factory tool kit is under the seat. The seat is stock height but I'm also including the drop link for the rear suspension to lower the seat height by about 2 inches. The tires are the original Michelins and are getting tired and should be replaced before too long. This bike has never been down or scratched or scuffed except for some very light scuffing on top of the Wunderlich stuff-bay cover from strapping down packages etc. to the tank bars. Also included is a rack that I've made from aluminum that allows fastening of the large-size Pellican cases with simple webbing straps (nrs, etc.) The cases aren't included but can be had from the Pellican website for about $55 each. I've toured Colorado with this rack. You can see the bike loaded up in the pictures. I've also cleaned up the rear-end of this bike quite a bit from what these look like stock. It is a different license plate mounting and a much shorter rear-fender. You can google stock picks and see what it originally looked like...much better now. Also included are the original rear license frame, light, fender extensions etc. that were removed. I can't say enough about this bike. You can't go wrong with this one. It really is a fun and reliable machine. Because I have a little extra free time on my hands and because I love riding this bike so much, I will offer to ride it to you anywhere in the Continental US or even Canada (limited) for $0.75 (seventy-five cents) a mile. I would just ship the extras seperately UPS and then catch a bus back home. Or I'd be more than happy to pick you up at our airport (or one of the other cheaper semi-local) for you to ride the bike home. Or I can direct you to a number of shippers. I've used both Federal Motorcycle Transport (Allied Lines) and UHaulBikes.com with very good results. Expect to pay $500-$700 if you go with shipping. If you do pick it up or have it delivered in person (by me) I'll also give you the chance to buy one of my 2 helmets or my kevlar riding jacket for a reasonable price. Otherwise, no helmet is included. If you are local you are welcome to come by and take a look-see. But sorry, no joy rides. I'll ride around and around the block for you so you can see my smile. :-) The bike was last serviced by Advantage Certified BMW in DC where I purchased it. It is due for another service. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Please do not bid if you are not able to complete the purchase. It is very costly and frustrating for me to relist. Bidders with zero rating or no history please contact me prior to placing bid or I will reserve the right to cancel your bid. Thanks for understanding. Thank you for looking and good luck!!
