1978 Honda Gold Wing

I picked this bike up from famous Twins Basball Umpire Lester Novak about three years back, it had sat in his garage for thirteen years undisturbed . now in bringing this bike back to life I did the folowing; Removed tank and cleaned it inside, Rebuilt the rear end and refilled with synthetic gear lube, rebuilt the carbs and replaced the air cut off valve, replaced the timing belts, adjusted the valves, new battery, rebuilt all three brake callipers and replaced the brake pads, flushed the cooling system, changed the oil and filter, and a new back tire. Oh yeah, and a pair of new jardeen drag pipe muflers which allow the rear tire to be changed without removing the mufflers. All worked out well for the first year after that till the stater went out. I replaced the starter / regulator /rectifier and associated wiring and reinstalled the engine. That was last fall, now this spring I needed only change the oil and I would trust this bike anywhere and not worry about any long distance road trip. It gets 43 mph on the freeway consistantly. Well that about sums it up except to add that I have the matching side bags and Vetter staro pod that goes with the bike. I just like it better with a trunk alone.
