This is a 3 owner Mercedes which has lived the majority of its life in in climate controlled private collections. It was originally purchased on August 29th, 1987 at Coral Motor Cars in Indianapolis, IN by a doctor who owned it until it was purchased by its second owner on 8/28/1990 with 27,500 miles on it. The third owner acquired it around 1997 when he brought it here to Arizona where he owned in for the last 14 years only putting about 15,000 miles on it. The car had an original sales price of $57,290! This car has been driven extremely sparingly during 24 years of ownership. That tells you just how pristine this 560 actually is. The paint is original and is finished in the gorgeous Mercedes color of Classic White and is in awesome condition and looks as good as the day in rolled of the lot. The car doesn't have a single ding, chip or scratch! The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any collector car should be, and the car was always garaged during winter and poor weather. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. Even the original Mercedes windshield is still in place and in good shape! The blue soft top is in excellent condition, and was just replaced in 2009 and has seen no miles since install. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. Overall the exterior appearance of this car is a 10 out of 10. The interior is in great shape all around. The dash and door panels are in like new condition. The supple original blue leather seats are all in very good condition and look very nice with no rips or deep ware lines, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. The wood grain is in excellent condition. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the upgraded CD player. Music is crisp and clear and not overwhelming. The sound system definitely adds to the driving experience of this roadster. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. This interior is absolutely flawless and in immaculate condition. The trunk compartment is clean enough to eat from. The spare tire compartment is clean as a whistle and the original spare tire has never hit the pavement and still is coated with its factory protective film! Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The car was always regularly serviced by Mercedes authorized dealers and the service book is fully stamped. Under the hood is clean as a whistle and looks like new. I just had the oil changed and the car given a once over and its all ready to hit the road with the top dropped! The previous owner gave me receipts totaling over $5000 worth of recent work including new brakes and rotors all the way around, new shocks, full tune up, new belts, new hoses, new muffler, and valve cover seals. Also the tires only have about 3,000 miles on them since being replaced. The car will include 3 key, tools, spare tire, top removal tool, and owners manuals. It also as I said has the $500 rear wind deflector and $400 hard top stand included! All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicest SL's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. I truly feel it is one of the nicest ones on the market and I will put it next to any of the lower mileage examples and it will hold its own.
