Vehicle Detail
First car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to sell IF RESERVE IS NOT YET MET second I am willing to trade if buggy doesn't sell. (rat rod, hot rod, 50s/60s/70s gm car) This is a Sand Flee from the seventies, I bought it 5 years ago off eBayand have slowly brought this buggy back to great running conditionThe sand flee was different from most Buggies because it had a molded floor pan that went under your feet to the front seat. this makes the body stronger. It also has a cover over the battery compartment, looks cool. See picturesKit was designed to be able to use a corvair or a VW engineThis car has a single port engine in it from the mid sixtiesthe pan vin numbers are clear and it is a 61 convertible panTitle clear and in my nameIn the past 5 years car has been stored in my garage, in pieces and whole for the whole 5 years.I removed the body and completely disassembled the carbody was stripped of paint and damaged areas were repaired. wiring, gauges, cables and interior were tossedCar was filled, sanded and painted 3 years ago by 1 day paint, and is a ok job but not great. I almost lost the entire body when they went under.Pan and suspension were cleaned, wire wheeled and either painted or por 15 (pan)entire brake system was replaced including brake lines and stainless flex brake hosesCarb overhauled and Gas Tank cleanedNew Clutch and pressure plate New SW gauge set (Tach, oil, volts, gas) and gas tank senderNew wiring and fuse blockNew headlights and tail lights, turn signalsNew clutch and throttle cables, battery New axle seals New horn, turn signal stalk has button it it for high beams, I hooked it up to the horn, pretty coolNew wheels, tires used but in great shapeNew Jeep aftermarket seats w/ New slides, on fabricated seat mountsaftermarket shifter3 new billet mirrorsNew Fire ExtinguisherNew Steering damperNew Plugs, wires, cap, rotor and beltNew oil pump and fuel pump ceramic coated dual mufflers (plus a used quite pac muffler)Aluminum valve covers Converted to Alternatoralmost every bolt screw washer or nut is stainless(Please note Bolts holding the body to the pan are Galvanized)Everything works on this car with the exception of the lighterComes with tow bar and trailer light set up that clamps to the engine cageBuggy runs great but Carb / timing needs adjustment Car has been on the road for only 6 months now, itis insured, current on tags and NEVER needs smog!! Holes in the side area near the seats are small storage areas, this buggy comes with side pods with a bump out at the hole so you can put small items in there (I have not installed them yet but it will be finished by auction end) Also Ebay makes me list the mileage, but I have no Idea so I put down what Buggy has since the rebuild I have added the ad from the 70's and a picture of what the buggy looked like when I bought it On Jun-09-11 at 07:23:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have 2 repair books that go with sale, and some extra Bug parts On Jun-09-11 at 16:38:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note buggy does not come with a spare tire or jack On Jun-09-11 at 16:57:00 PDT, seller added the following information: The gauges are not SW but VDO sorry for the mix up I also found the CB radio and it is included in the sale, but no mount or antenna
