Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1998 Chevy Express Van. It is a Freedom Conversion van, Captains chairs front and mid and a full bench seat in the rear. It has a very luxurious interior with front and rear ac/heat, mood lights, cruise control, etc. I purchased this van several years ago, sold it to my sister for a couple years, then bought it back. Since I got it back, I've replaced the following: New Mass Air Flow Sensor ($180.00), New Air Charge Sensor ($75.00), two front tires Goodyear RT/S Wrangler Radials with less than 50 miles on them, Idler Arm ($180.00), Battery ($120.00), Fuel Pump and Hanger Assembly ($280.00) as well as various other items like all filters, changed the oil with Synthetic (what I've ran since 70,000 miles on the van). The interior is in very good shape, no major rips or tears anywhere I can find. There is a small spot on the front passenger seat (looks like a drop of glue or something). The exterior is in very good shape with no rust that I can find. There are some bumps and bruises on the outside (can be seen in the pictures) as well as the side rear door has a broken bottom hinge that will need replaced. The side doors look to have been hit and it may need a new door, I don't do body work, so I'm not sure if it can be fixed, but I provided pictures. The running board have a couple places where they have hit something like a curb. The pieces are all there, just need a little TLC. Also, the plastic cowl below the windshield is broken (see pics) and should be replaced. I priced on from a salvage yard for $40 shipped, but never ordered it. There is also a small crack in the dash that I found while cleaning the dash. It has mood lighting that runs along the roof line, it has a hanging clothes rack in the rear, extra storage consoles, etc. Overall, the vehicle is above average condition (other than noted) and runs extremely well. I only drove the van on trips and such (from Ohio to Florida mulitple times). It has a receiver hitch and engine oil cooler (I believe it's a dealer tow package). The AC was a little low so I topped it up and it seems to be working fine. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I believe my starting price to be about half what book is for this vehicle. It's been a great van for me and my family, we just don't use it anymore. On my last trip to Florida, I got from a low of 18 miles per gallon to a high of 21.5 miles per gallon. That is with 4 adults, a child and all our luggage for a week. We even had a receiver shelf hauling two large coolers full of ice and food. The mid-seats are quick remove by releasing a lever underneath, a very handy feature for hauling larger items. All windows have the slide down blinds that are in good condition and working order. Very nice for privacy or to keep sun out. Van is sold as is. I hate to sell this van, but it basically sits in the driveway 99% of the time and I have not used it much over the last couple of years. Hopefully someone can buy it and enjoy it as it should be. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! Buy it now and I'll put two new tires on the rear (same as the front - Goodyear Wrangler RT/S which are over $350) and I'll make sure the gas tank if full! I require a $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 3 days of auction end with the balance due at time the van is picked up. Locally pickup only, would be willing to discuss delivery within reason and for cost of fuel.
