Vehicle Detail
1961 t5 356 coupe project worldwide shipping available (not included in price) Heres a great little project car. These seem to be harder and harder to find this early and still available as a project. Dents and poorly painted but overall a very good basis for whatever your plans are. Its missing some parts but consider that you will likely replace or exceed the cost of replacing with restoring a more complete car. Just ask anyone who has properly restored a 356 how big of a pile of parts they are left with after restoration. They should confirm that the parts may as well not even existed.........you paid for them twice. Theres some great replacement parts from many vendors and I can link you to them if needed. Guages, glass, engine parts,handles,trim,rubber,sheetmetal.........literally everything is made to help restore your 356 and the quality is quite high. So ask yourself........do you buy the "complete" project shelling out huge money only to find out all the parts need restored or replaced? Or do you buy a shell and just buy the parts once? I was just at a swapmeet today and an old timer 356er was telling me about his "rustfree" 356 thats never been welded on............."Sorry" I said "no such thing as a rustfree 356.......some just show it on the outside more than others". He says "yeah but you can't see that rust" I say "So whats worse lot's of rust or hidden rust?" "They both require the same work only the "rustfree" car breaks your heart more as it still needs to be cut open". He regrettibly agreed with the truth. These are 50+ year old unibody sports cars, they all need rustwork whether they show it in pictures or from the outside. T5 cars can become "A" car clones with the front clip replaced. This is pretty neat and you get the upgraded better chassis with the old style. The greatest thing about a incomplete car is it's a blank canvas outlaw or stock whatever you choose is the right choice. You could even make a speedster with a t5 car,in fact theres more and more speedsters popping up with coupe vin #s. I haven't processed the paperwork yet on this car. I did have it inspected to confirm it isn't stolen or liened. I can either provide a clean lien on the car (for $150 on top of the sale price) Or I can lien it and title it for $300 extra. A lien is legal ownership but for overseas buyers we would need a title. I have many more cars to post up so maybe buy several and have them all collected at once to save on shipping. The cars will be dry stored until the titles and shipping are finalized. Or if you choose there are many online title shops that you can obtain your own title with seperate of my auction. The vin and data plate are both intact and easy to read. The only parts coming with the car are whats pictured. In one pic you see a green vw bus, this was sold not long ago here on ebay. The bus is not for sale, but I do have some more complete very early buses for sale. I have shipped many cars all over the world and never a bad experience. In fact I have several cars headed to the uk right now. Shipping to the uk or european port cost us $1700 on the last bus. I can link you or offer the phone # for several international shippers. I will also cooperate as best I can to help with shipping. Our shops are here on our family farm and there's very rarely a time that I'm not here working. Please feel free to ask any questions. Always interested in trades for pre 1930 motorcycles and parts any condition. I am selling off my early vw and porsche projects/parts collection and changing my direction completely. Thank you for looking and best of luck. Adam 503 668 8327
