Even with all of the details above, there are still a great deal that have gone unmentioned. The car is very presentable and very clean. For a paint job that is nearly 7 years old, it looks awesome. I get plenty of people that ask if it has been painted recently. The body is nice and straight with very little filler (I do body and fender work, so I know what I'm looking for). Since this was a Texas car all its life, rust is absolutely NOT an issue ANYWHERE! In fact here's a quick history of the easy life this Nova has had. First off, I am only the third owner. I purchased it from a guy in Texas who bought the car from the ORIGINAL owner (she was a 92 yr old woman when she sold the car) with only 56000 miles When the second owner bought it, the car came with all the original paperwork including the dealer checklist and the WINDOW STICKER. It was bought as an all original 1970 six cylinder, powerglide, base model Nova. The second owner did majority of the work you see and was garaged since the day he got it. He owned the car for quite awhile (14 yrs I believe) before selling it to me. Since the day I have had it, the car has been stored in a climate controlled garage with a car cover over it. Although its not totally street practical (runs on race fuel), it is totally street legal, and if you can afford it can take you where you want to go. I usually make 15-20 mile round trips on the weekend to car shows. The temp will stay at 175-180 (even in Louisiana's ridiculous heat!). The car will turn up about 2800rpms at 50mph. I bought this car because I wanted a TRUE street/strip car, and this is what this car is. Not only can you bust some serious a$$ on the street, you can hit the track and run low-mid 10's on motor all day in dead heat. And if that's not enough, you've got 2 stages of nitrous that will get you deep into the 9's!! Again, this is a STREET CAR!!!! Also, the car dead hooks and drives straight. The car is currently on race fuel (I use VP C-16). However, when it was purchased, it was on alcohol. The alcohol carb gave me some trouble so when I bought a new carb, I went back on race fuel since that is what I am familiar with. With that being said, the car has seen a best on motor of 10.19 @ 131, but when I went to the race fuel, I lost 2-3 tenths. The carb is still directly out the box, and WILL do better with some tuning, but the drivability and reliability is great now, so to tell you the truth, I really didn't feel like pulling apart a new carb for a few tenths. If alcohol is your thing though, the car is ready to go right back on it with the change of a carb. It has all the necessary fuel components to run alcohol. In fact, just let me know and I will throw in a half drum (about 22gal or so) of FUELMAX 99.9% Methonal. It has been stored in the same garage that the car is in so it's still perfect. I have tried my best to describe everything that I could think of, but of course there's always more that is forgotten. If there is ANYTHING that anyone has a question about or a picture that you would like to see, please DO NOT hesitate to call me at 504 957 6004. I will be happy to answer all questions to the best of my ability. This car is not some ebay cleanup job. This has been a very well cared for car and will make someone very pleased. It does not smoke, does not miss, does not leak anywhere!!! You will not have oil spots all over your driveway or garage floor I assure you. Not too many "race" cars can say that! Thanks for viewing my auction and again this is a NO RESERVE listing, so the highest bidder will own it! I have had a few questions about this matter, so I just wanted to make this clear. Also, I have entered the VIN in the slot above ( sorry about not entering it before, I just realized I forgot to post it ).
