1980 MGB in excellent condition. New original interior, top, tires, carpeting, battery and fuel pump. Front end has been gone through and car goes down the road straight as an arrow and stops on a dime. Brakes and clutch replaced about 10,000 miles ago and work great. Undercarrige is clean with solid floor pans and no rust anywhere to be seen. Engine has a competition header and new Weber carb setup and runs fine. No smoke at startup (or anytime else) and 50+ pounds of oil pressure when running. Not a drip or a drop coming from anywhere! You could park it on your white living room rug and no mess. Motor allegedly rebuilt at 80K but can't confirm for sure but looks like it may be true. Have a pile of receipts from the previous owner for most of the installed parts. The Bad: one re-paint (red - not original color which was a maroon color - look at engine compartment) done by ? with a couple of runs (2 that I could find) in the paint and a small rust spot by the drivers side mirror. There is also a crack in the trunk lid where it had been repaired previously. Could use to be compounded out and a coat of wax to make it look 100% better than it does now. Small exhaust leak from where the header meets the exhaust pipe. The pins that the snaps on the convertible top attach to need to be replaced and the fuel gauge temp gauge and tachometer do not work (have not looked to see if a simple fix or not). Could be just a connection or fuse. Have new AM/FM CD Player which goes with car. Speakers already installed and wired and all connections are right threre - ready to be connected to the new radio. Have original spare, jack etc and service manuals. Charging system is fine and new battery installed. Basically there is maybe $75 in parts you would need to finish everything on the car and have a real nice little sportscar (it's nice now!) Selling because it is difficult to get into (and out of) with my back in the condition it is in right now. Fun to drive and great gas mileage too! Any questions call 203-223-3297. The reserve is $2800 and if does not go to this price in regular bidding the car WILL NOT BE SOLD! So if you are hte high bidder at say $2400 and the auction ends - you will not get the car unless you cime up with another $400 to meet what was going to e the reserve.Don't bother bellyaching to ebay about it - this is how they told me to handle the issue.
