She drove and shifted great! She ran well! We got lots of hoots from people we passed. We were hoping to drive her across country from Pennsylvania to California, but things have changed and I have decided to sell her. I tried to start her but found the alternator and battery were removed. I have not been able to find them yet and will include them if found. I did find the Alternator Regulator that was also removed and it is included. She can be purchased to enjoy “as is” or restore. I hope that she will go to a good home! She is fully insured with a clear title. I believe it will be necessary for the buyer to have insurance coverage for her to be able to transfer the tags. The buyer would be responsible for fees to transfer title, tags, etc. at the time of pick up. The buyer is responsible for picking up the VW Van from Sellersville, PA 18960. I have done my best with the above information. Please let me know if you have questions or would like additional pictures. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding! She’s not perfect, but she is a classic! On Jun-02-11 at 12:17:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I did add pictures of the undercarriage and the floor inside. There is rust showing aside of the sliding door and behind the driver and passenger seats. I couldn't pick up the mat more as the seats are in, but I didn't see rust where I attempted to lift the rug. The floor portion between the driver and passenger seat was in great condition, as well as the rear floor around the engine bay.On Jun-05-11 at 19:22:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Yesterday a wonderful family came to take a closer look at the VW Van. We found the Alternator / Generator and other extra parts. The Alternator / Generator and extra parts will be included with the sale of the van. BUT, still NO battery! On Jun-07-11 at 17:04:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Tonight I found the battery for the VW Van. That's the last of what was removed from her. Just so the new owner knows, we always felt that she had personality and a winsome soul. We called her "Baby Beluga." If you take a good look at her rear, you can still see the four bears that were painted on her. She was a hippie wagon and was in the Grateful Dead parade in New York City. I know that she will give you miles and miles of enjoyable driving!
