1937 BUICK SPECIAL TWIN SIDEMOUNT SEDAN HISTORY Sales of the Special, introduced in 1930, continued to be strong throughout the 1930s. The car grew even larger in 1937, now sitting on a 122-inch wheelbase. The engine now measured 248 cubic-inches and produced 100 horsepower. The Special Sedan featured in this auction was purchased by the current owner in Wisconsin. The mileage shown on the odometer is 20,314. It is unknown if this is the original mileage. It does have a nearly flawless original interior and dash. CONDITION This car runs and drives quite nicely. It did win a "Best of Show" award at a local show last year. There is a hesitation due to the carburetor needing a rebuild. The car shows no signs of any salt damage and has a beautiful rust free and straight body with the following exceptions. There are two minor dents on the body depicted in the photos. One is on the drivers side front fender at the bottom of the sidemount, the other is on the passenger side rear fender. There appears to have been one repaint in the original Black. There are Factory Fog Lights, Radio and electric clock. The Radio and Clock are Inop. The Wide Whitewalls are new. The chrome is excellent. Overall this is a beautiful garage kept car. DETAILS This is a presentable 1937 Buick Special Sedan in beautiful original condition with many original features that you can drive to Cruise Ins and shows right now. You can get into the Collector car hobby with a turnkey car. I believe that this Buick can be driven to any destination. It is freshly serviced and ready to go.
