Will provide a Bill of Sale to buyerIf you have zero feedback and/or no Paypal please contact me before bidding Chassis # HDR43 / 15308 - with no registration or any paperwork. I bought this car in June of 1988 from some lady who said her son had driven this vehicle for the past 10 years before he had decided to take it apart and restore it. The son moved out and the lady wanted it out of her garage. So, on June 1, 1988 I towed it home and put it in my garage. The motor was removed and given over to a buddy of mine who is a professional mechanic. The transmission was left in the vehicle and the driveline was removed so that I could roll it around easily. The motor was rebuilt, painted, and returned to me in a plastic bag. Please note that the motor is NOT in the vehicle. I only noticed last month while my son was taking pictures of the motor, that the engine number plate must have been removed prior to painting the motor and is now missing. I can only give my word that this is the same motor that I removed from this vehicle. According to the Identification Plate the motor number is #BP15GB / 5415. However one knowledgeable bidder from the last auction advised me that this is NOT the original motor or transmission, but that it is a later model 1600 motor and transmission. At this point I am just not sure. According to various parts/repair manuals MGA #s ran from 10,101 to 68,850 and was produced from August ’55 to September ’59. So, I made a guess that this MGA with a # of 15308 could be a 1955 or 1956. The parts/repair manuals also indicate that the original color was Old English White not green. White can be seen in the engine compartment. What is missing??? Seats – Top - top frame - Several knobs and dashboard controls - Original steering wheel - Rear bumper I have the old plywood floor panels, which were in the trunk when I bought the vehicle. These old panels can be used as templates for putting in a new floor I have all interior panels, which had also been removed. These panels can be recovered or used as templates.. This MGA rolls freely and can be easily rolled out of my garage and onto a trailer or even towed. The rebuilt motor is now sitting on a small roll around dolly and can be moved around pretty easily. We tried to take a lot of body pictures to point out the dents, and rust. There seems to be a fair amount of body filler on this vehicle. I know there is some around front grill, and on a couple of fenders. Trunk floor is sound with only surface rust. Please note that the windshield is cracked on passenger side and will have to be replaced. Tires have excellent tread but are old and show age cracks. You can email me with any further questions, and I will try to answer them. I am not selling this vehicle for anyone else. I am the vehicle owner and it has been in my possession since I bought it. I am not in the business of selling cars or delivering them. The buyer is required to pay for all shipping costs and buy is responsible for vehicle and motor once it has left my garage. Arrangements will have to be made to transport both the vehicle AND the motor. Please note that I put the chassis # HDR43 / 15308 in the place of the VIN # Please read the terms of payment before bidding. ALL sales are final, no refunds. ALL inspections must take place before the end of the auction. See pictures below On May-30-11 at 09:47:04 PDT, seller added the following information:
