Once 40 mph is reached the rpm’s shoot up and the car will not accelerate past that point. I have not had the car checked out by a mechanic, but looking on a few Kia forums it sounds like it may just be a solenoid, or it could be the transmission. I am not a mechanic so I can’t be sure what exactly is wrong, this is why the car is sold as is. My wife has driven the car since it was new with 28 miles on it.
