Vehicle Detail
Ok so I found my new chevelle project so I need to make some room in the garage. This is your chance to own a badass head-turning fastback. Jump on it. This car is a 1966 Mustang Fastback "A" code car. It is an original black plate CA car, meaning it has always had the black license you see in the photos and was always in CA. It was originally burgundy with black interior with a 289 V8 making 200hp. It now has a 302 with Edelbrock performer intake manifold and Holley 600cfm 4 barrel carburetor sitting on top. Near as I can tell it has the factory original C3 auto transmission still in it. Ignition and cap by MSD. This car runs, drives, and stops perfectly. I drive it all the time. This is NOT a numbers matching car. Anyone who tells you they have a numbers matching Ford from 1966 or earlier is either lying or has owned the car since 1966. There are no records that associate VINs with engine serial #s from before 1967, so the only way someone could be sure their 1966 is numbers matching would be to have owned it since the factory. This car has factory 4 wheel braking, disc in front and drums in the back. Power steering is also factory, but no AC. The interior is mostly original and super clean. It has an upgraded stereo head unit and I added a center console. Seatbelts are all factory and work. Custom 5 spoke wheels with low profile diamondback tires. Tons of tread left. When I got the car it was super loud, so I had the exhaust system replaced and remounted from the headers to the tips. It now has a really nice powerful purr to it. Now, to the pictures. Title is clear and in my name, and the car is registered through 2012. Please ask any questions or request additional pictures before placing a bid. Better yet, please make arrangements to personally inspect the car. I encourage you to do so. Call me (Chris) at 858-395-1444 to set up a time. Buyer pays all shipping fees and makes shipping arrangements. I will be glad to assist in loading the car or working with a shipper within reason. It's an "A" body style meaning original fastback. The C is the 200HP 289 V8
