Welcome to our special of the week. This Karmann Ghia was found in a tiny town under a huge elm tree. It had sat for 3 years when we got it. The woman had gotten a new set of wheels and put these ones out under the elm. I was loading up an expensive mustang when my partner cruised by in this cool classic. My jaw hit the ground and I was stupefied. I couldn’t believe he had gotten it running so quickly. He just freshened up the gas, tune up parts, and battery and came rolling by like a cloud in the sky. I was amazed. It sounded so good I didn’t think it was the same car. The lady had stuck to her guns and wouldn’t bargain with us even $1. She knew what she had and now I was excited and invigorated. It’s much more fun when your car runs and drives. The Ghia has some odd bumper brackets. There was a ding on the nose. It had gotten a crappy lacquer paint job that had crackled and peeled. The rear speaker tray was crusty and had some bubbling. The interior although presentable looks a little worn. It is very original in and out. There are some fresh tires and the wheels are in great shape. There’s not a bunch to say here except that I have a nice original classic that you can hop in and drive. It has the autostick feature which is a little tricky at first but actually adds to the experience. It’s a unique feature that is fun and quirky and makes you feel like you are operating a tractor or industrial machinery. This car is a great little grocery getter and will provide the new owner with tons of fun and memories of the past.
