1968 Shelby Mustang G.T. 500 What you are looking at here is a very nice "driver quality" affordable Shelby GT500. It is 68 GT500 #1417. It comes with the original build sheet, original Shelby paperwork, and a Marti Report. There are pictures below of each document. This Shelby was owned by the same man for the last 25 years until recently changing hands. I have spoken with him and he informed me that he had painted the car and had also had the original engine rebuilt as well as the transmission back around 1986. The Shelby runs spectacular and has had very few miles put on it since then. The car still shows very well. There are some imperfections in the paint that we have tried to show in the pictures. There are some minor touch-ups, nicks, and small scratches here and there. The worst spot on the Shelby is on the drivers side rear quarter panel. There is a small"wave" in the quarter and also a small "circular" mark in the paint. You can see it in the photos. I am being extra hard on it to make sure I represent it correctly. The Shelby will still draw a crowd and win a trophy at a local car show. Keep in mind, the paint is 25 years old. It can be driven and enjoyed as it is, or a repaint would take it to the next level. If you have been looking for a "real" documented Shelby GT500 that runs terrific and that you can drive and enjoy now and take to the next level later---This may be your car!!
