Rare Barn Find. This is a unique opportunity to own an appreciating classic. One of the only 3212 ever produced. This true survivor has had the same owner for 25+ years. This vehicle is a good daily driver or an excellent full restoration candidate. It is currently visually appealing, but will need restoration. This is not a show car, but is priced accordingly. Body- The 49 year old body has had some previous body work and is beginning to show its age.(see pictures). The re-paint is respectable as a driver, but will require some attention if perfection is what you desire. There are some rust bubbles on the rear trunk lid, on the bottoms of the doors, as well as on the right rear quarter panel. Exterior- The undercarriage has a few minor holes in the floor pan, but for the most part is very solid. Evidently, the previous owner decided to disconnect the top cylinders. All components remain with the vehicle. It will need a flipper panel hinge. It will also need a new canvas top. Engine- The engine starts and runs well. It has an exhaust manifold leak ( driver's side) common to this Lincoln series. This vehicle is equipped with air conditioning. The engine compartment is in very good condition and has recently received a refurbished generator, fuel pump, and battery. The transmission shifts smoothly as it floats down the road as if you were on a magic carpet. Interior- The interior has great potential with no rips or holes. The seats show some dirt and debris and may require some elbow grease to bring it back to respectability. The wood paneling is original and present, but will need refinishing. Carpets are original and very nice. Original AM radio functions properly. Chrome- Overall the chrome is in respectable condition. Depending on your requirements some may need to be polished or rechromed. Front grill has minor damage as well as the header panel. (see pics) Glass- The front windshield has a wiper scratch which may be polished out by a glass professional. The rest of the glass is original and free of defects. All 4 hub caps on the vehicle are original, as is the spare tire in the trunk. This vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied.
