Untitled Document 1961 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible This 1961 Cadillac was used for wedding chauffeur service by Dallas Dream Cars since 2007. The car has been nicely restored and all mechanicals are in good reliable working condition (because they have to be if you are using the car for a wedding business). We have closed down the wedding portion of our business in December, we are now in the process of selling off most of our wedding cars. This car is is an absolute joy to drive, still drives just as you would expect a Cadillac to drive. The car is restored to original except for the tires, A/C system, and the CD/Stereo head unit. Here is a list of all the work done on the car since we acquired it in 2007. New interior in 2007 New Carpet New Seats New Door panels New convertible top New convertible top motor Exterior repaint in 2007 390 Engine complete rebuild in 2008 (engine rebuilt to stock specifications) New water pump installed at rebuild Radiator cleaned and pressure tested All new hoses and belts Offy billet aluminum valve covers New fuel tank and sending unit installed in 2008 Classic Auto Air A/C system installed 2008 3 inch wide white wall tires by Diamond installed 2008 New wiper motor installed in 2009 Halogen headlights installed 2009 New exhaust 2009 New battery 2010 Transmission serviced and all seals replaced in 2010 Front end rebuilt 2010 New upper and lower ball joints New bushings New shocks New springs Steering Gearbox replaced in 2010 Window motors replaced in 2010 All weatherstripping was replaced in 2010 New convertible top boot (custom made) in 2010 Title is clear and inspection is current. NO TRADES on this one. RIGHT TO INSPECT BEFORE PURCHASE VEHICLE INSPECTION IS ENCOURAGED! It is the responsibility of the buyer to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected before purchase. We wouldn't buy a car without inspecting it first. Neither should you. Buyer is allowed up to seven (7) days from receipt of a deposit to inspect, or have an agent inspect, the vehicle. The seller has made every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle and will answer any buyer questions during the inspection period. MILEAGE NOTE: In the state of Texas any car that is 10 years of age or older is Titled with Exempt Mileage. We endeavor to show the exact mileage whenever possible. PAYMENT & FINANCING TERMS Payment can be made by Cashiers Check (if local) or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable Deposit in the amount of $600.00, must be received within 48 hours of the close of auction to reserve a car. Buyer has seven (7) days from receipt of deposit to inspect, or have an agent inspect, the vehicle. If an inspection or finalization of purchase takes longer then seven (7) days and the buyer finds the vehicle not to be to their liking, buyer's deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted for sale. Once full payment has been received, seller will provide clear title, Bill of Sale and additional Department of Motor Vehicles forms to the buyer for signature. The forms must be completed prior to the shipment of the vehicle. Transportation, or delivery, will occur only after receipt of final payment and required signed documents. TRANSPORTATION Buyer will pay for any and all transportation costs. We will be happy to assist in arranging for enclosed transportation if requested, but buyer will be responsible for direct contact with, and payment to, the shipper of buyer's choice. Prices vary, it is suggested that checking with several sources may be considered. We started our business in 2004 as a classic car rental business, allowing people to drive the cars of their dreams without having to mortgage their house. Later we specialized in providing chauffeured classic cars for weddings and special events. This is still a big part of our business. Due to the insurance headaches involved in running a classic car business, we decided to discontinue the rental part of our business recently. But we are still actively involved in buying and selling classic cars. Because we do not have all the overhead of a formal dealership, we can sell our cars at a lower price than many of our competitors.
