1972 VW Super Beetle Convertible –Professionally Restored, Reliable, and a Blast to Drive! Bought the Bug from prior owner in California 3 years ago; who had owned it since 1982 and I had it shipped to VA. Always garage kept under car cover and only taken out on nice sunny days. 1600 4 Cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission professionally rebuilt by Peninsula Automotive in Campbell, CA New Paint Job (Candy White) by The Preferred Image Body Shop, in Los Gatos, CA. Car was sanded down to metal. Floor pans replaced. Complete new Convertible Top (German Canvas), Headliner, and Interior by Harold’s Auto Upholstery, in Palo Alto, CA. All new Chrome, windshield, rubber, mirrors, door handles, window cranks, bumpers, emblems, carpet, trunk liner, seat belts, dash pads, vents, running boards, tires, custom car cover included. The wheels are original VW Baja wheels that are very rare. They were professionally sandblasted down to metal and redone. Additional misc items done recently: Deluxe center console, Coco floor mats, and plug in dash drink holder. New tan canvas top boot. Replaced blinker switch. Added side reflectors on tail lights. Replaced both lower ball joints, front strut stops and upper bearings. New blower fan switch and fan unit. New vent lines to gas tank. New washer pump kit. Replaced battery. Replaced interior Assist Straps. Added AM/FM/CD Player with 350 Watt Clarion Speakers in Panda Boxes and 300 Watt Amplifier mounted in the trunk. My family has had a blast with this bug and never any problems…..long country drives, taking the kids to their soccer games. Always getting Thumbs Up wherever we went. My son and I are looking for a classic mustang, and must make room in the garage. Over $15,000 invested......low reserve in comparison.
