Vehicle Detail
1986.5 Porsche 928 for sale. This is the last year of the original body style as seen in Risky Business, Scareface and several other movies. This car was built in the 2nd half of the production period so it has the big brake package, coil over suspension and the 5.0L 32 Valve engine with a sticker price in the high $60ks for the 86's to almost $100k in the final year of production. Additional upgrades include a window tint, new seats (will also provide originals), CD Player, Authority Chip, X Pipe and a rear muffler bypass (passed emmisions 2 months ago with no problems or removal of any of these upgrades. This car has been driven to work a couple times a month on the highway and has never had a problem (approx 2500 total miles since purchased), The 1986.5 928 is thought of by many to be the greatest 928 and a collectors year as it incorporates the original body style with most if not all the performance of the later years. I have owned the car for 3yrs and it runs great. I have never had to do anything other than standard maintainance (timing belt was done at 90k $1200) to it as I went through and continually improved and repaired little worn bits and pieces The car has a small dent above the right rear tail lights and it is the original paint, the A/C has quit working but all the parts and systems appear to be fine I believe it is a vacuum problem valve or a small leakm a couple small leaks (new pan gasket needed) but I have never had to top off any fluids between changes, The brake wear and the timing belt tensioner light flip on due to faulty sensors but the brakes are new and the belt tension checks out fine. Please keep in mind that this is a 24yr Porsche and it is not showroom condition although it has been garaged since I have owned it. Tires have about 60-70% of the tread left, brakes are new and it has been regularly serviced. I have driven the car to CA a couple of times and have never worried about its reliablity. Clear title. Sold as is. Will assist with shipping. Available to view locally by appointment. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Not: Corvette, Mustang, Camaro, 911, 944, 280z
