Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1984 Dodge Rampage unfinished project with lots of additional parts. This project had to be abandoned due to major life changes. The truck has been sitting outside for about 4 years and I have not touched it in that time. This auction will appeal to someone who has the time, money and desire to finish a project. Quite a bit of work still needs to go into this vehicle to get it in running condition, but you will get a lot of quality parts to start with. Some important things to remember about this auction: YOU MUST COME AND GET EVERYTHING LISTED HERE. I WILL NOT SHIP. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO COME AND GET ALL OF THIS STUFF – DON’T BID! AND, I WILL NOT SEPARATE PARTS AT THIS TIME. IT’S WINNER TAKE ALL. YOU ARE BIDDING ON EVERYTHING I HAVE LISTED HERE. YOU BUY IT ALL, OR YOU BUY NONE OF IT. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Body: The body is in generally good condition but it needs paint. Damage and rust are limited to the following: there is a dent on the roof where a tree limb fell on the car. It is a large shallow dent and should be no problem to pound back out. After I bought this truck and took all of the interior out, I found out that at some time in its life the top had been cut off and another welded in its place. From what I can tell, they did a good job lining everything up. The exterior welds are covered with body filler. I wish I had known this before I bought it, but it is not an issue. The hood is bent a little. After I put lift struts on the hood to hold it open, pulling down on the hood against the tension of the struts caused it to bend a little. There is rust on the right side in front of the rear wheel well, typical for the Rampage. The metal will need to be replaced there as it has rusted through. The passenger door is rusted just as badly at the bottom. There is some mild rust on the bottom of the driver’s door that might be repaired without replacing the metal. Issues with water leaking through the windshield wiper motor shelf have been taken care of with quality sealant and the front floor pans stay dry. The entire floor on the interior of the car was stripped, holes patched, entire floor coated with POR-15, then covered with "Brown Bread" sound insulator, and jute padding on top of that. The floor is solid. There is a water leak in the back of the truck that runs down the back wall and settles on the floor behind the seats. I have not been able to tell exactly where it comes from. I have tried to duplicate it several times with a garden hose without success. I have the trim that goes around the back glass (exterior), but the clips that hold them in place are broken. No rust in the bed, no rust on the tailgate. I have the windshield wipers and arms, but unfortunately, I think I threw the motor away by accident during one of my moves. I apologize because I know these are almost impossible to get. The plastic bed covers have been reinforced with aluminum square tube. They’re not beautiful, but still functional. The two clips on the bed cover that clip to the front of the bed are broken off. Glass: Front and back glass were replaced about 6 years ago. The metal under the glass was stripped and coated with POR-15. The car has not been driven since the glass was replaced, therefore, the front and back glass are in like new condition. The door glass is in average condition. Engine: 1989 2.5L common block machined by LRE, JE forged aluminum pistons, balance shafts removed, G head with 1mm oversized valves, ports sanded smooth, Taft S2 cam. Adjustable cam sprocket, underdrive pulley, non-a/c alternator bracket, all air conditioning equipment has been removed including interior components, T1 intake with stock 56mm TB (comes with separate 60mm TB), AFPR, +30% injectors, externally mounted oil filter, Spearco intercooler good for 400HP (not presently installed), Talon BOV mounted on pipe. Turbo and Exhaust: Forward Motion equal length header into 2.5" wastegate housing, T3/T4 turbo, 57 trim, .63 A/R, stage 3 exhaust. Transmission: 1989 A-413 automatic from a turbo LeBaron, Cheetah reverse manual valve body, Forward Motion full race torque converter ($1000 when new), Lyle Reid LSD kit, external trans fluid cooler, external trans filter, drain plug installed in trans pan, 1.05 transfer gears installed, but comes with .91 gears too (which are better). Chassis and Suspension: entire Shelby Charger k-frame is presently installed with Energy Suspension bushings, Shelby Charger KYB Gr2 struts (which will not work on the Rampage) with LRE springs and recent KYB upper mounts. New Koni coilovers come with the truck, along with new KYB upper mounts. Rear shocks are KYB Gas-Adjusts made for a Ford F-150, mounted upside down, PolyBushings rear anti-sway bar and rear leafspring bushings. The steering rack boot on the right side has a hole in it from the FM exhaust header rubbing on it. Tie rod ends and ball joints are good and have few miles on them since replaced. Wheels & Brakes: 15" pizza wheels powdercoated black, comes with 3 matching wheels (2 with slicks and one spare tire). Front and rear brakes are from my ‘87 Shelby Charger (disks front, drums rear). Tires are 205/50/15 Dunlop SP Sports with lots of tread left, still hold air, but starting to dry rot. I fabricated new brake lines for the rear and installed SS flex lines front and rear, but the lines are not connected to the master cylinder, therefore, *there are no brakes* except for the parking brake, presently. Fuel: 255-lph fuel pump in the tank. The stock Shelby Charger fuel rail is presently installed, but should be replaced with one that flows more fuel. Injectors installed are +30%, but I have a set of Siemens 72 pph injectors that come with it to be used with the new cal. Electrical: 1989 SMEC wiring harness converted for use in Rampage with 3-bar MAP and custom TU cal. If you want to do the Shelby Charger front end conversion you will need to rewire the headlights. I never finished the wiring for the tach I bought. I’m not sure if I completed the wiring for the 3-bar MAP. Diagrams will come with the truck. The battery and mounting tray have been removed to make room for intercooler plumbing and air intake. You will have to find a new place to mount a battery. The truck comes without a battery. Interior and Instrumentation: Carpet is junk due to sun fade. It used to be charcoal (new 6 years ago), but is now funky green. Seats, door trim and center console from Shelby Charger in good condition, new seat belts installed about 6 years ago, headliner recovered 6 years ago and still looks new. I have the instrument bezel and the steering column cover although they are not installed. They are in good condition (see pics). Autometer boost gauge, Autometer 5" Monster Tach 0-8000 rpm with shift light (never installed, wiring incomplete), Dawes Devices rich/lean indicator, digital fuel pressure indicator, EGT indicator. The seat rails, parking brake handle, brake and throttle pedals have been painted in black wrinkle finish. Some of the interior plastic panels were painted and the paint is peeling off. Extras included in this auction: Nearly everything needed for the Shelby Charger front end conversion is included in this auction: hood, fenders, front clip and bumper, 2 sets of side skirts, 1 set of rear skirts. One of the fenders has some rust as seen in the pics but has not gone all the way through the metal yet. One of the side skirts has some minor cracks, which can be repaired (see pics). Set of new, never installed window belt weather seals Set of NOS, never installed interior side panels (tan color). I challenge you to find another set on the planet. Set of new, never installed front Koni coilovers with Eibach springs custom made for the Rampage Pair of M&H slicks on black powdercoated pizza wheels matching the ones on the Rampage, used a few times, plenty of rubber left Spare tire on black powdercoated pizza wheel matching the ones on the Rampage (that's a total of 7 matching wheels in all!) 60mm throttle body Custom cal 1989 SMEC ECU by Turbos Unleashed, never installed Extra, new windshield trim clips New, never installed Isahara-Johnson crank scraper Extra (used) oil pan U-Haul bolt-on towing receiver and hitch Extra .91 transfer gears to change your final drive ratio 1989 Factory service Manual and wiring diagrams Set of 4 Siemens 72 pph fuel injectors, new, never installed More small odds and ends, bits and pieces in boxes in the garage As you can see, there is a lot of stuff in this auction. If you are knowledgeable about this, you know that this represents a very large investment on my part, but THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. All of it must go! WINNER TAKES ALL. Once again, I AM NOT SELLING THESE PARTS SEPARATELY AT THIS TIME. I WILL NOT SHIP – YOU MUST COME AND PICK UP ALL OF THIS STUFF. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO COME ALL THE WAY TO MY HOME AND GET EVERYTHING LISTED HERE. The winning bidder must pay a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $500 or ½ of the winning bid amount, whichever is less, via PayPal within 24 hours of closing of the auction. Contact me for arrangements to pay the balance. NO REFUNDS. NO RETURNS. I have lots of photos but e-bay will only allow a total of 24. I would be happy to e-mail you more photos. Questions are welcomed.
