Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a rare 1977 C-20943 GMC crew cab. This is an original Sierra Grande with Air conditioning and tilt wheel. The truck was owned by my father the last 8-10 years. He passed away in November and I inherited the truck. It is an extremely well kept vehicle. My father used it to haul a 12’ slide in camper and his ATV trailer. It has been serviced regularly and runs great. I have been using it to haul vehicles between Lewiston, Idaho and Boise, Seattle, Portland, and Spokane for the last 3 months and it has never missed a beat. This truck runs and drives GREAT. It pulls extremely well and is very comfortable to travel in. I have put new Cooper 10-ply tires on it all the way around, had the transmission serviced, replaced the fuel filters, air filer, and it has had the oil changed every 2500-3000 miles. I can not stress enough how solid this truck is. If you are looking for an inexpensive puller, look no further. Everything on this truck works with the exception of the Air. It is all there and hooked up but does not engage. I have been told it might be as simple as a recharge but am not going to guarantee it. This time of year the a/c is not important so I have not had it looked at. The brakes have been done in the last couple of years as well as the exhaust and the radiator, water pump, and fan clutch. The truck does not run hot when pulling and gets about 11 mpg with a 24’ enclosed trailer on it and a 3500 pound car in the trailer. I have the reserve set low but please do not wait to bid. The truck is for sale locally and if the reserve has not been met I reserve the right to end the auction early and sell it locally. Please check my feedback and you will see I am a very straight forward-honest seller and there will be no surprises when you receive this truck. There is some rust in the right rear box behind the tire and left rear box also behind the tire (pictured), in the drivers side cab corner (pictured), and the drivers rocker panel between the front and rear doors (pictured). The rest of the truck is extremely nice. The paint shines easily and the interior is super clean with no tears, rips, etc… All of the gauges, lights, turn signals, stereo, speedo, fuel gauge, etc... work as they should including the fuel tank switching valve. All of the glass is great, windows roll up and down smoothly, no wind leaks, no squeeks, etc... The bright trim is nice, bumpers are nice, and the tail gate I got at a wrecking yard because my father never used one while hauling the camper and I can’t find the original. Serious buyers please feel free to call me at 1-208-746-7040 or e-mail me at cookscarco@gmail.com with any questions you might have or other information you might want / need. If you have (0) zero or (-) negative feedback please contact me prior to bidding or your bid may not be accepted. Thank you for looking and good luck with the auction! On Mar-30-11 at 08:52:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several e-mails asking me what it takes to end the auction early so I have added a "Buy-it-Now" price. The Crew cabs of this vintage are rare espicially when thay are this original and in this nice of condition. Thank's again for the interest and good luck!
