Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT. It has been in the garage since 1995. It had some intermittent electrical problem and isn't running now. In 1995 I took it to a mechanic and he said he could fix it but would have to trace all the wiring and would cost more than the car was worth. So I just put it away in my garage with the hope that someday I would get around to fixing it. But now I don't have time. Anyone with electrical experience or someone who knows Fiero problems could probably fix it and sell it for more. The engine and everything was running perfectly before I put it away. No knocks or bad sounds. Power was fine. Super car. I feel bad to let it go. I always wanted to do a v8 conversion on it. The winning buyer will have to come pick it up themselves or have it shipped. I had a custom paint job done. It was the same paint as the original Dodge viper RT10. There is some white overspray from painting my house. Not too noticeable. Just some small specks. I bumped someone a long time ago and there are some scratches and scuffs in the front. It was never in an accident and there is no damage to the frame. There are some scratches in some other places. The trunk doesn't stay open anymore because on of the support springs snapped. Rims are good. Brakes should still be good. I rebuilt the calipers once and put a new master cylinder in also. Never fire or engine problem. Always changed the oil and filter every 3 to 5k miles. Radiator is fine. Description of engine problem. It would run for a while until the engine got hot. Then it would quit and die. After some time when the engine cooled a bit it would run again. This always continued until one day it wouldn't start at all. I was told it had something to do with the wiring in the ignition system. Buy it take it home and find out. Then drive it around and tell me about it. It was a really fun car. On May-15-11 at 11:55:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Better clarify to everyone that this car is not running now. The electrical problem I spoke about is keeping it from starting. The buyer is responsible for fixing it. Just to clarify that before that problem there was nothing mechanical wrong with the engine. It was running very well. The only problem with the engine is electrical. If you can fix it, it will be an excellent running vehicle.
