2007 Honda Shadow VLX 600 Deluxe, 1,700 +/- actual miles, never wrecked or had any damage. Never laid over. Been in the rain twice. Garage stored or covered on my concrete drive the rest of the time when not ridden. I bought this bike new in the spring of 2008 and purchased a Honda factory 3 year warranty with it. I rode the bike that summer and bought a bigger bike (Honda VTX 1300) and parked this one in the garage. It has been started since it was parked. I believe the factory warranty has expired. Bike needs a new battery and a carb cleaning / adjustment. Using a battery booster box, it does start right up and runs with the choke on, but the carb will have to be cleaned or adjusted before it can be ridden - the gas sat in the bike for a year or so. I have since put fresh gas in it. The bike starts fine though. Should be a real easy fix. Honda dealer (DeVols, Parkersburg, WV) told me it would be $250 to rebuild the carb. If you are mechanically inclined, cleaning the carb yourself will be an easy fix - I believe the float sticks a bit. One of the big vehicle pricing guides values this bike at $3,600. The last time I checked, this bike got right at 60 mpg. Funny story... it has a 2 gallon tank not including reserve. I ran out of fuel at 120 miles. I switched to reserve and was able to ride a few more miles to the gas station. Bike otherwise is an 8 out of 10; 10 being new. It has a scuff on the top edge of the rear fender near the light - something rubbed it. It may have some light scratches here or there characteristic of a used motorcycle. I didn't immediately see any when I looked at it the other day. Payment must be in the form of a bank cashiers check, or cash money. NO PayPal except for $125 deposit. NO personal or company checks. NO escrow service. I will not ship this motorcycle. I may be willing to deliver this bike within 100 miles - that is negotiable. NOTE: This bike is currently financed through Honda financial. If you buy this bike, I will give you a bill of sale, take your money and pay the bike off. As soon as I get the title, I will mail it to you. I work for a bank full-time and the local ambulance service part time. My father is a police officer and I know all the local police. I work on their computer systems. There will not be an issue with you getting a clean / clear title for this bike. Just be aware that if you buy this bike, it will take me a couple of weeks to get you the actual title. If you have doubts or questions, we can do this transaction at the police office with officers present.
