This is an outstanding and versatile CR500! It started life as a very low hour 1994 and has been built into the ultimate vet mx/play/desert/GP/dual sport bike! It has been meticulously rebuilt in every detail by me, a former factory national mx/sx mechanic. All CR500s from 1989-2001 are basically the same motor, frame, seat, tank, plastic and wheels. The difference is in the suspension! It features abundant power, flawless suspension and razor sharp handling. This bike is ready to ride/race now! The feature that sets this bike apart from all other Honda CR500s of this generation is, it has Showa "A" Kit Works Suspension straight from the Primal Impulse/Factory Honda 125 team of 1998! The fork and shock were never used spares that were in storage until 2 years ago. They have been newly serviced by Factory Connection and the entire bike has less than 5 hours on it since it's rennovation. The triple clamps are: RG3 top, 4 post gen 2 and a Ride Engineering 3 bolt bottom. It has Pro Taper bars, ASV F3 rotating levers and new cables.There are new steering head bearings and a Scotts Steering Sabilizer completes the front end. You'll stand on Pro Circuit foot pegs. The frame is powder coated, the motor is an original with less than 25 hours of use since new, on standard bore. The carb is flawlessly jetted and there is a V-Force reed valve intake in place. All the plastic is new UFO and the seatcover is a full gripper N Style. It has all 3 new axles, perfect radiators, and a Works Connection glide plate. All swing arm and linkage bearings are new and packed with Mobil One grease. The brake calipers have been cleaned, flushed and new Galfer steel braided line in front & a new OEM line in back installed. Both brake rotors are new as are the pads. The new FMF Gnarly exhaust pipe and silencer are tight, free of goop, cracks or dings. The pipe is connected to a special Atomic 22 billet steel exhaust manifold, for no "spooge" leakage. These manifolds are like GOD and they're no longer available! The rear wheel is a Buchanan's masterpiece built in their shop with H-D stainless spokes on an Excel rim with a sandlasted hub with new bearings. The rear tire is 50% used. The front wheel is a DID rim with stock spokes in perfect condition. It has a new and rare Rinaldi tire. It has new Renthal sprockets, a new DID VM narrow X-Ring gold chain and an unbreakable BRP chain guide. The chain slider is also new and is factory Honda. The buyer will also get an "as new" IMS 3.7 gal gas tank for those longer rides! This bike is a 1 kick starter and runs like a scalded dog! It is one of the best examples of this generation, 1989-2001, CR500 you will find. Every nut and bolt is brand new and are 10.9 high strength. Every rubber mount and grommet is new and every minute detail was looked after when it was built. There is nothing scratched, gouged, cracked, bent or stripped. Look closely at the photos and they speak for themselves! I have a 100% feedback score for good reason! I assembled it to be perfect and have it as my "do all" bike but I have too many motorcycles and need to thin the herd. Like any used bike, this one has no warranty of any kind.
