Early 66 FJ 40 complete restoration. Incredible condition. 39,200 miles on the original F motor and it runs great. I have put about 3500 miles on it since I have owned it. Very few modifications from original. 6 volt system has been changed to 12 volt, 33 x 10.50 Goodrich all terrains with 80-90percent left on the tread, the tires are a little marked (its a Land Cruiser, its not in the garage ALL the time). On the column three speed. I upgraded the brake and slave cylinders to a later model sizing, both were purchased brand new OEM within the last two and a half years (3500 miles). I have taken good care of it and have rarely even gone over 60 mph in it. (3spd) The seats were recovered in Poland with real leather, yes real leather.This truck shines bright and definitely attracts the looks of anyone who knows what it is. It sat in a climate controlled barn/garage before I purchased it and was driven seemingly on short little cruises with little or no dirt involved. Warn hubs and 4x4 works great. Undercarriage is clean and rust free. Being a Land Cruiser it has been places in its pre-restoration incarnation and has some few minor blemishes, most of which it took me a long time to even notice. Minor surface rust on the underside of the rain gutter, absolutely positively not deep at all. The front driver fender has a small pre restoration ding in it as well as at the front portion also. It took me a long time to even notice. In the rear shot you may notice a few welts. I initially thought these might be rust, but they have not cracked or spread or shown any of the signs of being such since I have owned this vehicle (2 1/2 years). There is another on the rear passenger corner, again same as the others. Some crack on the inside front portion of the rear wheel wells, both are plated by outside metal which is part of the original metal structure of the wheel well, it is still very solid. Take a look at the photos, all of this is included. I have done a full engine flush because I think the previous owner put a bunch of stop leak in it, so I have flushed out a bunch of nastiness and had the radiator reset. If this truck is taken good care of, it will last forever. It is solid all around both mechanically and aesthetically, okay I'll say it: its gorgeous! Considering the age and mileage, I find nothing wrong with this vehicle and I hate to see it go. I need to pay for college, I simply cannot continue making payments on it.
