Pink slip shows 1978 FIAT. Car was sold to me as a 1980 Spider, second owner, Ca. car. Engine is the 2000 fuel injected which came out in '79-80. Body appears to be 1980, as it was sold. Engine tag under hood for smog is 2000 fuel injected. Still a mystery to me why pink shows 78, but wasn't critical to me when purchased. Car was driven home, stopped upon arrival, turned over, but did not restart. Another mystery to me. This was fall of 2010. Car appears to be all original & rust free minus some surface rust around body chips. Car looks better in pictures than close up, but still very respectable. Little dings and scratches, but still turns heads. Interior is original and showing its age, with cracks in seat, dash, and driver door panel, carpets saved only by mats. Cromodora wheels with Dunlop Touring tires in very good condition. Alpine cd player with removable face and Boston speakers. Really a nice set up. Many new parts, front end rebuild, shocks, tires, hoses, timing belts..... Overall a great project driver for someone with the motivation, I'm simply not. Was told most likely a fuel pump issue, but I'm just moving on. Good luck in your bidding, and feel free to ask any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability.
