Vehicle Detail

1974 Porsche 914 2.0 now 1.8 in excellent running condition. Body: No major accidents just door dings and small dents. Small amount of rust under jack receivers. The pans are very solid and retain original blue paint. Originally light blue now 15 year old shiny red paint. Doesn’t look bad from 15 feet. It still shines. There are several scratches that have been touched up. Trunk is clean and free of rust. Rear glass resealed last year. Headlights operate smoothly. Interior: Dash cracked. The car has sheep skins placed by the previous owner. I have never taken them off. I was told the seams on the driver side were ripped. There is a large tape repair of the vinyl behind the passenger seat. Carpets are good. Glass is clean and uncracked. It has the gauge package. Engine and transaxle: Original motor (which I don’t have) was a 2.0. I was told by the previous owner that it was replaced by a “new” 2.0 but by the numbers it is a 1.8. It has Dellorto carbs and runs well. It is very reliable. From the receipts, it appears that this motor has less than 5,000 miles. It also handles well. The transaxle has a worn syncronizer in second only. This is only apparent when the car is cold. It shifts flawlessly other that this mild catch. The catch is gone when the engine has warmed to temperature. It does not pop out of gear and no noises. General: The tires are good. The battery is a year old. Ignition switch was recently replaced. Original owners manual included. The car can be driven now and enjoyed. Because of the lack of rust, it would be a good restoration candidate. It has 80,792 original miles. It looks great from a short distance. Clear Kansas title. There are additional photos on Photo Bucket. The link is included. ThanksOn May-01-11 at 14:23:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added more photos to Photo Bucket. There was a question about the door gaps or shut lines. They are factory even and uniform. The doors close tightly with little effort. Thanks
