1978 TOYOTA COROLLA HATCHBACK!!! This is one of my all time favorite cars, and it is in very good running condition. It looks good as it is, and could be used as a daily driver, or a great car for a restoration. I have maintenance records from 1997 when the car had 68,000 miles, until 2008 when it had about 126,000 miles on it. It has been with the same owner from 1997 until I purchased the car last year. At this time it has 128,948 miles on it. It has been a well cared for car. This car starts up and drives great! I took it in to the shop and had it inspected, and it passed all Utah emissions inspections, and safety inspections, other than the high beam switch is not working, and needs to be repaired or replaced. The car is out of California, and has only been in Utah for less than a year. I bought it with hopes of restoring it, but just have too many projects, and need to clean out the yard. This is pretty much an all original car, other than it has been painted once. It was originally a silver car, and someone changed the color to a deep maroon. The paint buffs out fairly nice, and has good gloss, but there are some dents and scrapes, but no major damage. Rust wise there is some rust behind the front wheels on both fenders, but I have not seen any rust out anywhere else on the car. The fenders should not be hard to weld up. The glass is all good, with no chips or cracks, and the windows all work properly. This car even has the original radio in it, and it works fine! The dash and door panels look good. Rear seat is in good condition, and the front seats have covers on them. I assume that they are worn, but have not pulled the covers to check them. They sit well though, and seem to be in good condition as far as being solid. The tires are about half worn, and did pass safety inspection. The maintenance book shows that a new starter was installed in 2008. New gas struts in 2004, along with new brake pads, and some exhaust work. A good tuneup in 2002, and valve cover gasket and valves adjusted in 2000. Car is now located about 10 miles North of Salt Lake City, Utah. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
