4 Sale a super nice looking and great driving restored 1979 Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser. It is turn key ready to enjoy "not a project in the works" This FJ is in very nice conduction overall and maybe one of the cleanest - straightest - fust free - uncut FJ 40s left on this planet 32 years later. All the metal on this FJ is original to the vehicle, body and floor pans look outstanding and still all original 32 years later. I love the classic FJ and have owned and restored many over the past 35 years. I will rank this FJ the nicest of all of them. It is insured for 30,000 replacement value, but reserve auction price is set much lower and this FJ should sell very fast the real nice one's always have. Not restored to be a national show Toyota that you push in and out of a trailer with white glove on . But with that said = if this FJ was and cleaner or nicer you would not want to drive it and get it dirty, it is garage art and classic history at it's best . SEE PHOTOS! This FJ was restored and built to drive and enjoy in town as well as the highway or interstate. It will go off road with the best of them and climb everything but a tree - you have a winch on the front of this FJ so if you need to climb a tree you can! The body of this FJ is original and very nice -very straight = SEE PHOTOS! No rust - No rot -No dents - No dings- No bondo! It was just repainted for the first time in 32 years = using the same original factory color that was still on it. The original paint on the body of this FJ was still nice but 32 years old and new fresh paint is always better! All the outside paint work, green and white, is one month new! The inside of this FJ is all original 32 years old and still looks very nice today. The inside factory original green paint looked so good I did not have it painted inside. The inside floors did get treated in raptor armor coat to protect the inside floor area for many years to come. This FJ is "unbelivable" for 32 years old on the inside. It has it's original hard top and hard doors with the good rear ambulance doors the pure FJ guys want. The top and doors all remove for summer fun "open air driving". It also is being sold with a full soft top and full soft door and stainless tailgate you install so the kids and cargo don't fall out of the back when ambulance doors are removed. The new soft top and soft doors have one summer of use on them so they also look great. So you get the best of both worlds = Full Hard top and Full Soft top. Like I said I have owned many Classic FJ over the years and rank them the best of the best in 4 wheel drive vehicles ever made. The only down fall to the classic Fj is the original 6 cyl factory motor. In my opinion they lack power and performance when needing to road trip out of town or on the Highway or Interstate. So with that said the motor must be V8 power "not the factory inline 6cyl". So the tired out original 6 cyl motor was removed and a very nice - very reliable - strong running V-8 350 cubic inch 4 bbl small block chevy motor was installed under the hood. No lack of power of performance in this FJ anymore and it gets better gas milage than the stock F-2 toyota 6 cyl motor ever did. The motor is backed by a 4 speed manual transmission - Yes 4 speed much nicer on the highway. Not the old style 3 speed you will find in many early classic land cruisers. This FJ is also fitted with power steering - no steering slop - no free play - this FJ drives super nice! No road wander = You drive it - Not it drive you! Also has power brakes "disc brakes up front and factory drums brakes on rear and it will stop straight and on a dime everytime. Real nice brakes = No brake pull or lane change when you stop! All the 4by4 running gear - transfer case - front end -rear end - locking hubs - drive lines and yokes in great working order. The horn -blinkers - back up lights - lic plate lights - head lights -running lights - turn signals - brake lights - dash lights all in like new working order. FJ is also fitted with two heaters, one up front in the drivers area and it also has the factory equipped side window and front window defroster vents. Also has a heater in the rear cargo area if you have passangers. Heaters will cook you out when both are on high speed. The wipers and wiper washer sprayer also work like new. Fitted with dual gas tanks, a 25 gal. main gas tank and a 20 gal. reserve gas tank = thats 45 gallons of gas total for the long road trips. FJ still has original factory bucket seats up front with shoulder belts, the driver seat bottom has tear in the seam at insert area. Local upholstery shop wants $50.00 to fix it. I never repaired it - it has water proof seat covers on the original front bucket seats to keep the sun and elements off of them. FJ is also equipped with the nice factory flip up and out of the way rear jump seats, two of them with seat belts. = SEE PHOTOS! Roll bar and a custom built stainless rear locking storage box in cargo area. Also custom built front stainless bumper and 8,000 lb power warn winch that is in good working order. Power controler for winch is in the locking center console. The custom fitted 4 slot rifle rack between the roll bar removes easy if you don't need it. This is America we all need one! New 15 inch black steel wheels and center caps, New 15 by 10.50 - 31 inch tall A/T tires = under 300 miles on new tires and wheels. Full size spare tire mounted to a swing out tire rack. Tow hitch on rear, it also has a tow bar mount on front bumper if you want to tow it behind something. All new dual exhaust and new mufflers from motor to rear of vehicle. So in a nut shell your looking at a very nice looking - rust free - very sanitary FJ from the front to rear and top to bottom =SEE PHOTOS! and best of all it realy runs nice and is a joy to drive. It has 8,000 total reliable proven driven miles on all the running gear and one month new nice paint with a great gloss shine. The bottom side is also very respectable and if any cleaner you would not drive it and get it dirty! =SEE PHOTOS! This FJ will turn every head in town driving or parked and will win trophys at any local car show. Yes all the fatory original Vin numbers still on this FJ never remover, original factory plate under hood left side of firewall under the hood above fan box. Plate is original to this FJ with vin number - paint code -trim code and so on. FJ also still has original factory plate on drivers door frame - not painted over or removed and put back on. This Fj is original in all body parts. No body damage to this fj in 32 years of it life! Like I said it is one of the rare harder to find FJ left on this planet! Yes all the running gear in this FJ is original to this FJ. The 4 speed - 4by4 transfur case - front end - read end kept TOYOTA fj40. The motor was the only original item replaced - original 6cyl removed - adaptor plate installed and V8 motor set in place. Yes this V8 powered FJ runs the interstate great unlike the 6 cyl did. 70 mph up any grade in oregon in 4th gear - no downshift required! Thats only using 1/2 of the gas peddle - will go much faster but we do have a speed limit in Oregon. Yes the hard top removes, driver passanger doors remove -and the rear hard doors remove. Has full soft top and soft doors that you can put on it if you like soft top look. Also has a rear 'tailgate' to use when you pull off the rear hard doors. Yes the CB will stay in the vehicle it has "all weather band" to get weather updates when driving. Yes it will road trip from Oregon west coast across the United States to the east coast any day of the week! It has been driven from Oregon to So. California and back two times = Thats 2,400 mile highway road trip alone and no issues! I get 12 miles to the gal at 70 mph Oregon Interstate with 6 percent hill grades! Flat highway running 55 mph it gets mid teens. If you're looking for great mileage buy a VW or compact elect car. Yes title is clean and clear - no brands or issues.
