Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this original 1926 Chevy 2 door sedan. This is a very straight & solid all steel body. Has an amateur flat black paint job that makes a very neat patina. The doors open & close nicely with the wood in excellent condition. No patch panels. 3 of the four fenders are in real nice shape, with the drivers front fender with a crack & two areas that were welded and may need to be ground down. It has a nice vinyl top with now rips or tears and does not leak. All glass is good with no cracks. The windows roll up & down nicely. It needs a new speedometer cable with the balance of the guages working. The lights work. The dash is in nice original shape with no modifications. Notice the accessory ashtray & match holder & plug-in for the battery maintainer. It is complete with locking device on the bottom of the shifter. (See pics) It appears to be the original interior in decent shape for its age. It has two new tires on the rear, with the front ones in OK shape with some weather checking. I have been driving it with these tires on it. The wood spoke rims are in excellent, solid shape snd the are tight. This car starts first time, every time & idles smoothly and cool. It is the original 4 cylinder motor with the external push rods exposed. (See pics) Very unique! Engine does not smoke. Runs, drives and stops nicely.
