I have had the car for about a year and have enjoyed it thouroughly. I just don't need it and thought perhaps a Benz enthusiant would be into it. Well...it is the most comfortable car I have ever owned. Several times I have driven it from Roswell to Capitan and back VERY FAST - oh man, this is an autobahn car for sure. -drives straight as an arrow and it seems a micrometer turns the wheel - very effective and well designed. The history... bought new of the showroom floor in Odessa, TX in 1980 by an oilman. He drove it for many years. The last decade it has spent it's life in Roswell with not much driving. The lady that I got it from purchased a new vehicle and let the Benz sit dormant for a year. I took it in to the shop and had it looked over, tuned up, put new belts and hoses on everything and new tires. I asked the mechanic (he had worked on it, previously) about what he thought about it. He told me he thought it would drive around great for many years to come. It has three decades of wear but it is pretty good shape. Very cool, powerful car with great lines. The mechanic thought the motor and transmission were great and for the summer that I drove it I had no problems. I put a new stereo into it. It has a clear, clean title and a good sized stack of all original manuals and work performed on the vehicle. It has the original keys as well. You will find this is a GREAT DEAL!
