Vehicle Detail
631-357-2602 NO RESERVE AUCTION! Car was restored 3 years ago and driven 50 miles since. Original color citrus green with correct black stripes done beautifully. I got the car from the 2nd owner and he verifies 71k original miles, take it or leave it, I can't tell either way but the miles are on the title! Everything is new or restored. I had purchased the car after it was painted for some 2 1/2 years and figured I would finish the car, but getting people to do the work was impossible and costly, I had a lot of cars and have just had enough with collecting so many cars so I am selling them off to buy 1 or 2 much more expensive cars in this down market! Everything was ready to finish and was new or restored and I had to complete it so after having $28k invested in this car I am ready cut my losses and move on. Here is a list of some new stuff, paint is new and very very nice and it has never been wet sanded or polished, I am told that with a wet sand and polish this paint will be outta this world...it looks very nice now! I pictured the sides to see how straight it is and lowers as best I could to see that it was done correctly! I also the pictured the ONLY two flaws in the paint which are tiny chips...two total and not a scratch! Sorry for the bad pictures but I am the worst photographer in the world! Brake lines, brakes, inner fenders, interior, carburator, all trim and chrome, including bumpers..is all Brand NEW! Pretty much everything is new! Engine was totally redone and is a non matching motor but an 0010 block from 1971 with solid lifters as it was originally. I had all this checked out to verify this as I am no expert by all means! Engine sounds and runs really strong as a z28 solid motor should. I would tune it a little better as I am told that you need to have a magic touch to get these solid motors to run optimally...it runs fine now but I am a fanatic. The trim tag was removed to restore that front cowl section and then placed back. I was also told that the bolts and plate for floor mounted gas pedal are under the carpet, which I can get pictures of if necessary. I was told to picture it but couldn't get the carpet up too easily! The very minor finishing is the trunk lock, I have the mechanism and key, brand new as well, but I do not have the outside piece goes on the part below the trunk lid. Minor and inexpensive piece. The rearview mirror I would change as it is original and the tires I would change to larger ones in the front. These are all minor things to fix but I have just way too much money tied up in this car and as I said...I am ready to be a man and cut my losses! The exhaust is a bit low but I am told that they are all low. The undercarriage is nice which was restored lightly by the previous guy and I pictured it best I could. I have a clear title ready for the new owner. There is NO RESERVE (this means the car will sell whatever the final price is) and serious people must call me about the car at 631-357-2602 if you are bidding in the last day! If serious you should call and discuss anything with me anyway. I will not answer blocked calls. I will sell the car with no reserve and there will be no funny business either...CHECK MY PERFECT FEEDBACK in 2150 unique sales and over 3500 total! They were all for jewelry so check some jewelry sellers feedback to compare! I have no reason to deal with tire kickers and/or ridiculous emails. The first serious buyer to see the car will buy the car. NO PAYPAL FOR ANY REASON! VERY IMPORTANT! ***Car is for sale locally and I have the right to stop the auction at anytime!*** Car is sold where is and as is condition. I can possibly help with shipping if needed but it is the buyers responsibility! On Apr-14-11 at 16:52:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I had to add that after my friend saw the pics on ebay he asked if I took the pics with an antique camera! I laughed and asked why!? After seeing the pics, now I know why! The car looks much much better in person and I assure you all that if the winning bidder comes and looks at the car and the paint isn't much better in person then I will refund his or her deposit and you don't have to buy it! I will also try and get someone who can take normal pics and have them ready to send them to people who would like to see them. Sorry and thanks! On Apr-14-11 at 18:55:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Another thing I forgot is that it is a 12 bolt rear with 3.73 gears and turbo 400 trans and I believe they are original to the car. Anything else I may have forgot, just call or email. ThanksOn Apr-17-11 at 15:43:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I will take better more clear pics of the paint tomorrow. If you want me to send them to you then send me an email with your email address and I will send you better pictures of the paint where it doesn't have the sun crusifying the finish! Also, look at other pics of where I show the chip or the front shot and you can see the much better shine that the paint actually has. ThanksOn Apr-18-11 at 13:22:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional images: On Apr-19-11 at 16:47:54 PDT, seller added the following information: ***Please read ad carefully, it says that the floor mount is there for the pedal but a hole needs to be cut in the carpet...IT IS THERE GUARANTEED! The person who restored the car originally was obviously a little brain dead but he did great paint...I guess that's all he knows how to do. He also, as mentioned in the ad too, removed the trim tag and to restore the cowl and replaced with mickey mouse rivets!? The car has been checked out by guys who know there stuff and confirmed that it was, and is, a REAL genuine Z28...I assure you all of that! Thanks for looking and sorry for the many paragraphs of describing!
