Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1976 Chevy Cheyenne C/K 20 pickup truck, ¾ ton, 4-wheel drive, 8 foot bed, 350 cu. in. engine, automatic transmission, 105,000 original miles, green w/green cloth interior, factory non-A/C truck, power steering, power front disk brakes, Am/Fm cassette radio. I bought this truck off of a friend of the family about 3 years ago. Shortly before that time, I was told that the original engine had been replaced with a brand new Jasper crate 350 engine (I do not have paper work or know the compression or horsepower rating, etc). The engine has less than 1000 miles on it and sounds great. At one time many years ago, I was told that the transmission had been rebuilt too. The truck starts quiet, runs and idles great like a new engine should. The exhaust has a little throatiness to it and sounds great but not overpowering. The engine has a new Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, Holley air cleaner as well as a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and HEI distributor. Everything else about the truck is basically stock except for the wheels, radio and dual exhaust. The truck runs and drives good with lots of power. The truck is in solid condition overall. The entire undercarriage still has places where the original undercoating is present dating back to the 70’s as well as new undercoating giving the undercarriage a clean appearance. The frame is original and in great condition with no apparent rust repair or rot. The floors are in great shape too as well as the floor on the bed. There were just a few spots on the top side of the bed floor under the bed mat that were lightly patched - however the bed overall is super solid and not all beat up and majorly dented up like it was used as a work horse. The tops of the bed sides and tailgate are not all dented up and rusted up either. All 4 shocks as well as all 4 brakes (pads, shoes, calipers, caliper hoses, wheel cylinders, and some brakes lines) are new. The tires have great tread looking almost new in tread depth. However the truck still does needs some restoration work preformed to be a show truck - or just add gas to be a respectable driver. The mechanics of the truck for the most part are done and in excellent condition with the exception that the choke needs to be installed and the kick down cable still needs to be hooked up to the carb. The exhaust is in great condition except the tail pipes are starting to show rust pin holes. The interior, from the carpets to the headliner, are in average shape with some material tears in the driver’s side of the seat and in the carpets. The door panels are missing some trim and need new arm rest pads. The body is solid with scratches and some dents but overall has respectable paint and still looks good from 10-20 feet. The bed sides are in great condition especially above the wheel wheels with no real rust. The cab corners are also in great shape too. The corners of the doors and fender heels have rust spots so do parts of the rockers – nothing major though. Old bodywork is showing in some spots and new bodywork has been started but not finished. Paint blemishes, scratches and spots of surface rust along with other imperfections have been touched up to give a better appearance. The grill is from a 1980 Chevy truck and the front chrome bumper looks good but with some dents. The aftermarket directional wheels are decent but the clear coat is coming off. All and all the truck is very respectable and could be driven and used as a driver with no worries. Reserve price is low and reasonable. IMPORTANT ... PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY!!!
