I have finally, after much debate, decided to put ole Sarge up for auction. I have owned this truck since 1987, I will try to tell all I know about Sarge. It is a 1977 and a half, it has the first integrated power steering box Ford put on the 4x4's. It has a 400 big block, bored out 30 thousands over, polished crank, R/V cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and Holley 600 four barrel carb. I installed Hooker Headers, four core radiator, platinum injection, 8mm plug wires, washable air filter, new brake booster, and master cylinder, heads were completely rebuilt, new guides, valves, and seats, very expensive. It has 8-qt oil pan, C-6 three speed transmission, 205 New Process, all gear drive transfer case, Dana 4:10 full floating rear axle, and Ford 4:09 front axle. All new wheel bearings at all corners, new axle u-joints, all new brakes, calipers, wheel cylinders, brake flex hoses front and rear. All new fluids were changed a couple years back. Installed 1978, (Ford first offered tilt column) used tilt steering column, and new Grant leather wrapped steering wheel, with ford horn button in center, works. Truck has later model intermittent wiper delay installed, has new glove compartment box, with working light. Installed cab, and cargo lights. Installed custom headliner, and sun visors. Has new A/C components, uses Freeze 12, instead of R12. has new Uniroyal, heavy ply tires, almost $600.00, and new under mount spare. Has Herculiner roll in bed liner. Has optional drink holder, slid in where ash tray used to be, holds two drinks, have factory ash tray goes with it. Has had new paint job done by professional body man, factory colors were Candy Apple/Gray. I had it painted all Candy Apple Red. All factory gauges work fine, oil, amp, temp, and fuel, also has aftermarket gauges, oil pressure, and temp mounted on drink holder, engine holds very good oil pressure. Fuel mileage is what you would expect, about 10 any way you go. I am disabled now, this truck has been my pride and joy, it is a joy to drive, it runs, so good, this thing is a tank, but rides great. I am putting this at a reasonable reserve, please, only interested bidders only. I don't need the money, but I am not willing to give this truck away. I have owner manual, hydraulic jack is behind seat, has c/d player, door and rear speakers. Everything on this truck works, I would not hesitate to take off to anywhere in this truck, has been very reliable. Had a Ramsey winch on front bumper, I took it off and put it on a trailer. Truck had 48000 miles showing when I purchased it, it now shows 86848, may or may not be original miles. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I may have forgotten to mention everything, there have been so many improvements I may have missed something.
